PI&FS/SC 1 SITE INSPECTION: GENERAL INFORMATION GUIDELIST This provides a reminder of the main objectives and information likely to be reviewed at the site visit and inspection, prior to feasibility studies being made. The DA shall check off each applicable item and sub-item and file this guidelist in the QE Plan File. 1.

PREPARATION: ☐ Confirm Client's right of access or permission obtained, obtain keys. ☐ Determine whether Client has any information about the following (check for latest information) existing drawings approved drawings and as-built drawings property status restrictive covenants or other constraints (e.g. drain reserves, road widening) ownership of fences or walls presence of squatters, rights of way, light, air, support, etc. - to obtain lawyer's confirmation topographical or other surveys and reports

ADJOINING PROPERTIES / UTILITIES / INFRASTRUCTURE ☐ General character, usage, condition. Be alert to constraints (setback requirements, restricted design and construction activities) resulting from adjoining properties, e.g. MRT Railway Protection Zone, public sewer, pumping mains, drainage reserve, road structure safety zone, railway safety zone, railway corridor, railway first reserve. A neighbouring factory may impose a "nuisance buffer" of as much as 25m from the common boundary. ☐ FSSD requirements: maximum permitted unprotected openings / areas based on setback and distance to adjacent properties ☐ Subsidence or flooding evidence ☐ Common boundary walls (consider if registered surveyor need to be appointed) ☐ Relationship of site to surrounding development and character ☐ Places of historic interest ☐ Check for any undesirable features nearby, e.g. sewerage works, railway lines, high security buildings ☐ Building height, façade reflective materials, piling works, etc might have adverse effect. ☐ Industrial Buildings to be sited at designated industrial estates and compatible with adjacent land use. Provide adequate buffer between residential premises and industries. Only light or clean industries can be relocated close to residential areas.

TOPOGRAPHY ☐ Forms and contours, water courses, lakes, etc. ☐ Levels, soil conditions, subsidence evidence, rock outcrops ☐ Planting, existing landscape/natural features worth preserving and extending ☐ Views worth accentuating or creating ☐ Obstructive features ☐ Location of trees if site is in a Tree Conservation Site, preconsult NParks for Tree Felling

PI&FS/SC 2 TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEY - CHECKLIST OF ITEMS LIKELY TO BE REQUIRED A topographical survey at this stage may need only to be very brief. However, the Design Architect (DA) may decide even at this stage to recommend for a "one-time" thorough survey if it is anticipated that the project will very likely proceed onto the Planning and Building stages. In such cases, the DA shall 'check-off' each item and sub-item and file this checklist in the Project QE Plan File. The following survey items are listed for the DA's advanced information but are not exhaustive. 1.

PREPARATION PRIOR TO INSTRUCTION ☐ Ascertain purpose of survey and extent of detail. ☐ Visit site to assess site characteristics and any special features that need to be surveyed, e.g. trees in good condition to be preserved.
