FAITH: THE CURRENCY OF THE KINGDOM Dear Partner, Have you ever wondered how much cash Jesus carried around? He must have had more than just “pocket change” because the Bible tells us that Judas was His treasurer (John 13:29 NLT). However, whether Jesus was feeding the multitude or paying his ministers’ taxes, He used faith to get the job done because FAITH IS THE CURRENCY OF THE KINGDOM. Everywhere He went Jesus lived like heaven on earth, just like Adam did before the Fall. He was constantly showing the disciples that money is never a limitation for those who live and operate by the kingdom principle of sowing and reaping…“The just shall live by faith.” He taught them how to live independent of this Babylonian system and have dominion over it; and instead of crying about what they didn’t have, to call things that be not as though they were. Look at some of the things that Jesus did either without money or by having money (provision) supernaturally manifest through faith. When Jesus needed transportation for His final entry into Jerusalem, He told two of His disciples, “…Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them” (Matthew 21:2–3). When the collectors of the Temple tax asked Peter if Jesus paid the Temple tax, Jesus told Peter to go fishing, “…we don’t want to offend them, so go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us.” (Matthew 17:27 NLT). Faith was used to get what He needed to pay the taxes. When a wedding party ran out of wine and risked major embarrassment, Jesus turned between120 and 180 gallons of water into wine. “Nearby stood six stone water jars…each holding from twenty to thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water’; so they filled them to the brim…‘Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet’” (John 2:6–8 NIV). When the master of the feast tasted the wine, he told the bridegroom, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now” (verse 10 NIV). Today,180 gallons of the best wine can cost millions of dollars. Last, when Jesus decided to feed 5,000 men and their families in a desert place with no grocery stores, Sam’s Clubs or Amazon, He didn’t stress out because “He knew what he would do.” He took a little boy’s offering of five small barley loaves and two small fish and produced a miracle of multiplication. The little boy had obviously listened to and believed Jesus’ teaching. “Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish” (John 6:11 NIV). Jesus and His disciples never lacked anything that money could buy. When He first sent out His disciples, He said, “Do not take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag…” (Luke 10:4 NLT). FAITH provides everything we need and when we need it. Now, I call that “Living on Top of the World!” Jesus lived in a house, had a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee (when He wasn’t walking on water), and even had a tomb for His burial provided by Joseph of Arimathea, a rich disciple. (See Mark 15:46.) In Isaiah 55:1, God says, “..he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”

Moving With No Money Veronica and I are living witnesses that God can fully take care of you with only faith. You have probably heard our story about coming to Chicago with only $200 and no place to stay. We first stayed with Sister Beverly, a dear sister in the Lord, and after nine months we knew it was time for us to find our own place. But it seemed like every time we tried to step out and move, something would happen to take the money that we had saved. Finally, I got fed up and after three days of fasting and prayer, the Lord spoke to me, “Declare what you want!” So, I told Veronica, “Baby, we’ll be moving in seven days!” Now mind you, I had no idea where we were going or how we were going to pay for it. All I knew was that we were moving in seven days and I released my faith in words. So, in obedience, we started looking for a place to live. This is called “corresponding action.” As one man of God said, “Our actions have to correspond with our believing if we are to receive from God.” Then one day while driving around to see different places to live, our son, David, who was asleep in the back seat (He was just a small boy at the time.), suddenly rose up and pointed to a very nice building and said, “We’re going to live right there!” How many of you know that sometimes a little child shall lead you! Well, Veronica and I stopped by the rental office and inquired about what they had available. Page 2

To make a long story short, God gave us tremendous FAVOR with the building manager. She spread the security deposit over twelve months and allowed us to use the furniture from their model apartment. We moved into a beautiful studio apartment within SEVEN DAYS! Faith was our currency! I believe we are coming into a time when FAITH will be more valuable than gold. Why? Because even if the world’s money system fails or changes, faith will always prevail. It will always provide anything, anytime, anyplace you have a need. Faith can do what money can never do because it is a SUPERNATURAL medium of exchange…the currency of the kingdom. And as believers, FAITH is the way we get things done. Here’s a statement that may shock you: As a believer, if your decisions are made purely based on money, many times you may be wrong. Your faith, not money, should determine where you can go, when you can you give, what projects your ministry undertakes, how high you can climb, what problems you can solve, what property you can afford, or how much your business can afford to expand. If your decisions are based solely on money, then you are still being dominated by this demon-controlled Babylonian system of the world. God wants you free!

The Best Things in Life are Free I know that phrase sounds like an old cliché, but it really is a Bible truth. When Jesus was crucified, died and raised from the dead, He paid the price for our sins. He restored to God’s family everything Adam had lost. The new birth not only makes us members of God’s family, children of the God of the universe, but inheritors of this entire earth from the surface to the core. Not one thing in the earth belongs to the devil and his agents. God said, “All things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21). It did not say all spiritual things. It said “all things.” All means everything without exception on this planet and in the realm of the invisible that God has already created and intended for us to have. The world belongs to us. Psalm 115:16 says, “The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.” If there is anything good, if there is anything beneficial, if there is anything that would help or enhance our lives or assist us in the completion of our kingdom assignments—we have a right to it! And here’s the “BEST” news…It is “freely given” to us. The scriptures say, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)…“Now we have received…the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God” (1 Corinthians 2:12). As inheritors of the earth, faith is your “title deed” and whoever has this title deed is seen as the owner…“Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen…” Page 3

(Hebrew 11:1 AMP). It’s not the property title granted by a Babylonian system, but the title recognized by the God of Heaven and Earth that comes by FAITH!

You Must Release Your Faith So, how do we get what belongs to us? Let me use a simple illustration of buying groceries at a store. After you’ve put everything on your grocery list into your shopping cart, you don’t just walk out the store and load those groceries into your car. (You could, but you would soon be greeted by a man or woman wearing a badge and a blue uniform). No. You proceed to the checkout counter. To take those groceries home to enjoy, you first must release some money, either in cash, debit or credit card, in the amount owed. If your groceries cost $100, you have to release (pay the cashier) $100. If you only have $80, then $20 worth of something has to go back in the cart. Well, it works the same way in the kingdom of God. You must release your faith (through words or seeds sown) to receive what faith provides. Faith becomes your currency, and for whatever you desire or need here on this earth, you must cultivate the level of faith required to deliver it to you. Like money, the amount of faith you have will dictate the things you can receive from the kingdom. Remember, faith will get you the thing or the thing to get the thing. As you sow your seed this month, make a decision that you will never run after money again. By FAITH, step out on God’s covenant of prosperity by sowing and reaping and expect God to manifest your harvest. Sowing and reaping is a covenant, not a promise. It works every time without fasting or praying, but by just believing. Veronica and I thank you for being our partner and pray for you every day. We love you. Until next time, keep walking by faith! Your Partner and Friend,

William S. Winston

P.S. I believe last month’s International Faith Conference was the best faith conference we have ever had. Be sure to get the teachings and listen to them over and over again. Increased revelation is how we grow from FAITH to FAITH.
