Signet® from FNB Private Wealth rewards and lifestyle rules These rules were published/revised on: 01 February 2020 IMPORTANT: These rules explain the rewards that “you” as a Signet® client will earn on specified transactions and how and when you will earn rewards from FNB. They form a binding agreement between you and FNB, a division of FirstRand Bank Limited. You must read these rules carefully. Contact us if you don’t understand any part of these rules. Please note: These rules must be read with your account, card and service terms & conditions and the FNB General Terms & Conditions which still apply to you. In addition the following eBucks Terms & Conditions will also apply to you: •

IMPORTANT NOTICE: TAX IMPLICATIONS We recommend that you obtain independent professional advice regarding any tax implications arising from the receipt, accumulation, transfer or spend of any rewards, benefits, discounts or eBucks. Transfer refers to the transfer of rewards, benefits, discounts or eBucks to another person, business or entity. You agree that you will not hold us, FNB or FirstRand Bank Limited (“the Bank”) liable and you hereby fully indemnify the Bank, and hold the Bank completely innocent, against all damages, claims and fines made against you or the Bank, including all legal costs on an attorney-and-own-client scale, to the extent to which such damages, claims and fines arise out of or are connected to any taxation relating to your receipt, accumulation, transfer or spend of any rewards, benefits, discounts or eBucks, or the charges in respect thereof. You are fully responsible for any tax implications arising from or associated with any rewards, benefits, discounts or eBucks received, accumulated, transferred or spent, due to you being a member of, or participating in, the eBucks Rewards Programme, or due to you being a customer of the bank. 1. HOW DO YOU QUALIFY TO EARN REWARDS? 1.1. To qualify to earn rewards all your accounts with FNB and FirstRand Bank Limited must be in good standing. 1.2. For purposes of these rules “good standing” means none of your FirstRand Bank Limited accounts and credit agreements must be overdrawn, or in arrears, or in default, or subject to any legal process with FirstRand Bank Limited. “Legal process” means any legal proceedings in any court of law involving you and FirstRand Bank Limited, including but not limited to: business rescue, collections, liquidation, and sequestration proceedings. Legal process excludes debt review as per Section 86 of the National Credit Act 2005. 1.3. As a Signet client you automatically qualify for FNB Private Wealth Rewards at the highest reward level: level five.
2. REWARDS AND BENEFITS YOU WILL ENJOY 2.1. ENGEN 2.1.1.
2.1.2.
Engen Fuel 2.1.1.1.
Fuel earn is exclusive to Engen. You will earn R4/litre back in eBucks for your fuel spend at Engen. Fuel earn is based on the price of Inland ULP 95 and the earn amount is calculated on the number of litres purchased during the month.
2.1.1.2.
No earn will be awarded on fuel purchases at any other fuel retailers. You can fill up at any Engen fuel station within the borders of the Republic of South Africa, but you must pay for your fuel through the fuel station pay point on the Engen forecourt. You won’t earn eBucks if you pay for fuel at the Quickshop.
2.1.1.3.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to 20% of your total monthly qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet CardTM, Signet Cheque Card and / or Credit Card spend or a total Rand spend (Engen fuel) of R3 000 per month, whichever occurs first.
If the following happens, you will not earn any rewards, even if you qualify for rewards on fuel: 2.1.2.1.
If any fuel retailer refuses to accept any of the cards for any reason. Please Note: Merchants alone decide what cards they will accept from consumers to pay for fuel. FNB cannot force a merchant to accept a specific card to pay for fuel. You will not earn eBucks back on any fuel purchases made on a Standalone Petro Card or any FNB Petrol card.
2.1.2.2.
If FNB cannot identify a qualifying transaction for any reason you won’t qualify for fuel rewards. This includes a situation where the fuel retailer didn’t process the transaction correctly or as a fuel transaction. This applies at the time the transaction was processed by the fuel retailer. This means you will not earn rewards even if you can later prove it was a fuel transaction.
2.2. DOUBLE UP ON FUEL 2.2.1.
Meet all 3 of the qualifying requirements and every quarter you earn DOUBLE eBucks for your Engen fuel spend. This is a Double Up on fuel benefit which applies over and above your normal monthly eBucks earned for fuel spend at Engen.
2.2.2.
The 3 requirements that need to be met for each month of the quarter are: 2.2.2.1.
Have an active WesBank account/ FNB Vehicle finance. (This includes VW, TFS and Audi finance).
2.2.2.2.
Have your financed vehicle loaded on nav>> Car.
2.2.2.3.
Have 100% of your fuel spend at Engen fuel stations. If you buy fuel from any other fuel retailer, you will not be eligible to earn the Fuel booster.
2.2.3.
Quarters will run from July to September (Q1); October to December (Q2); January to March (Q3) and April to June (Q4).
2.2.4.
The additional eBucks earn for the Double up on fuel reward will be allocated at the end of each quarter.
2.3. GAUTRAIN, UBER AND UBER EATS

2.3.1.
You will earn 15% back in eBucks on your Gautrain, Domestic Uber rides and Uber Eats.
2.3.2.
You only earn eBucks on Uber rides taken and Uber Eats purchases made within the Republic of South Africa.
2.3.3.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to 20% of your total monthly qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card, Signet Cheque Card and / or Signet Credit Card spend or a total Rand spend (on Gautrain tickets and Uber rides and Uber Eat purchases only) of R2 000 per month, whichever occurs first.

2.4. FNB CONNECT CONTRACTS AND PREPAID PURCHASES 2.4.1.
You will earn 15% back in eBucks on your FNB Connect contract or when you load FNB Connect prepaid purchases.
2.4.2.
You earn eBucks on FNB Connect prepaid airtime bought using FNB’s electronic banking channels. In these rules “electronic banking channels” include Online Banking, Cellphone Banking or the FNB App and specifically exclude card purchases and ATMs as well as any purchases made using eBucks as the payment method.
2.4.3.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to a total monthly Rand spend (on qualifying FNB Connect contracts and/or prepaid purchases only) of R1 000.
2.4.4.
eBucks won’t be earned on any device premiums linked to your contract(s) or for FNB Connect Ultimate/ Unlimited/ TalkMax package.
2.5. DEVICES 2.5.1.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to a combined total monthly Rand spend (on qualifying smart device contracts only) of R500 (five hundred Rand).
2.5.2.
Qualifying smart devices are limited to laptops, tablets and smartphones and specifically excludes the FNB ConeXis.
2.5.3.
Applicable to qualifying smart device contracts taken up before 30 June 2018. Any device contracts taken up after this date will not qualify.
2.6. CHECKERS & SHOPRITE 2.6.1.
You will earn 15% back in eBucks on qualifying Checkers and Shoprite purchases. The following purchases/transactions do not qualify for rewards: Transactions at Medirite Pharmacies, Money Markets, Computicket, Computicket–Travel and Cash@Till™ withdrawals.
2.6.2.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to 20% of your total monthly qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card, Signet Cheque Card and / or Signet Credit Card spend or a total Rand spend (Checkers & Shoprite purchases) of only R10 000 per month, whichever occurs first.
2.6.3.
FNB will allocate your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card or Signet Credit Card spend towards the spend limit first.
2.6.4.
You will not earn eBucks on Checkers & Shoprite purchases above the R10 000 spend limit.
2.6.5.
Your rewards are based on the Rand value of goods and services you purchase every month, using your participating FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card, Signet Cheque Card or Signet Credit Card, from the following retail outlets of Shoprite Checkers (Pty) Ltd situated in South Africa:

If the following happens, you will not earn any rewards on shopping purchases, or Checkers & Shoprite purchases: 2.6.6.1.
If any merchant refuses to accept any of the cards for any reason. Note: Merchants alone decide what cards they will accept from consumers. FNB cannot force a merchant to accept a specific card.
2.6.6.2.
If FNB cannot identify a qualifying transaction for any reason. This includes a situation where the merchant didn’t process the transaction correctly or as an in-store purchase. This applies at the time the transaction was processed by the merchant. This means you will not earn rewards even if you can later prove it was a Checkers & Shoprite purchase.
2.7. IN-STORE SHOPPING

2.7.1.
You will earn 3% back in eBucks on your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card or Signet Credit Card and 0.25% back on your Signet Cheque Card whenever you spend instore.
2.7.2.
In-store shopping spend limits apply irrespective of whether you shop domestically or internationally.
2.7.3.
The amount at which you earn eBucks at your shopping reward rate is limited to a total monthly Rand spend (on qualifying card swipes only) of R30 000 on your qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card, Signet Cheque Card and / or Signet Credit Card. Thereafter, you will earn eBucks on shopping purchases made using your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and / or Signet Credit Card at a flat rate of 0.5%.

2.7.4.
FNB allocates your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and / or Signet Credit Card spend towards the spend limit first. For example, if you spend R25 000 on shopping using your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card or Signet Credit Card and R10 000 using your Signet Cheque Card, the FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and / or Signet Credit Card spend (R25 000) will be taken into account first and thereafter the Signet Cheque Card spend (R5 000) will be included to get to the maximum qualifying in-store shopping purchases of R30 000.
2.8. ONLINE SHOPPING 2.8.1.
You will earn 3% back in eBucks on your Signet Credit Card or FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and 0.25% back in eBucks on your Signet Cheque Card whenever you shop online.
2.8.2.
Qualifying ‘online shopping’ means, the Rand value of purchases, using qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Cards, Signet Credit Cards or Signet Cheque Cards, of goods and services made by any ‘card not present’ transaction (i.e. purchase via a website).
2.8.3.
The amount on which you earn eBucks at your online shopping reward rate is limited to a total monthly Rand spend (on qualifying online purchases only) of R7 500 on your qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card, Signet Cheque Card and Signet Credit Card. Thereafter, you will earn eBucks on online shopping purchases made using your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and / or Signet Credit Card at a flat rate of 0.5%.
2.8.4.
FNB allocates your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card or Signet Credit Card spend towards the spend limit first.
2.8.5.
You will not earn eBucks on online shopping purchases above the R7 500 spend limit made using your Signet Cheque Card.
2.9. FNB FOREX ONLINE CHARGES & STANDING ORDERS 2.9.1.
You will earn 50% back in eBucks on your transactional charges when you send or receive foreign currency online with FNB Forex or via the FNB App or on your transactional charges when receiving foreign currency regularly by authorising FNB Forex to convert these funds on your behalf with a standing instruction.
2.9.2.
Rewards are based on qualifying transaction charges accrued when foreign currency is sent or received online with FNB Forex.
2.9.3.
The eBucks you earn will be paid in the month after the transaction was done.
2.9.4.
All FNB Forex transactions must be done using Online Banking or via FNB App, except where you have a standing instruction with FNB Forex to transact on your behalf.
2.9.5.
You only earn rewards on transactional charges on FNB Forex inward and outward payments in a foreign currency (not South African Rand).
2.9.6.
You do not earn rewards on foreign notes, travellers’ cheques, foreign currency account (FCA) funding, customer foreign currency account (CFC) funding, cash passport, PayPal™, MoneyGram™ or any other foreign exchange products.
2.9.7.
You also do not earn rewards when you are transacting on a special discount or pensioner pricing.
2.10. FNB LIFE INSURANCE 2.10.1. PROTECT SERIES 2.10.1.1.
Earn 15% back in eBucks on your FNB Life Insurance Protect Series products.
2.10.1.2.
You will earn eBucks back on premiums for the following cover types: FNB Funeral plan and FNB Accidental Death plan.
2.10.1.3.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to a total monthly premium spend of R7 000.
2.10.1.4.
The monthly premiums on your qualifying FNB Life Insurance Protect Series products, must be paid on time from your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Account or your FNB Private Wealth Signet Cheque Account. You won’t earn eBucks for any month where premiums weren’t paid – either because you didn’t make payment that month, or because FNB Life Insurance chose to waive your premium that month for any reason.
2.10.1.5.
The percentage earned back in eBucks is calculated based on the sum total of monthly premiums for all your qualifying FNB Life Insurance Protect Series policies products. Your participation in the eBucks programme allows us to better assess your risk enabling you to earn back a percentage of your premium in the form of eBucks and/or collect points towards your rewards level.
2.10.1.6.
In the case of an FNB Life Insurance Protect Series product, only the payer of the premiums will earn eBucks; other lives insured and/or beneficiaries named in the policy won’t earn eBucks.
2.10.1.7.
These rules apply automatically upon you qualifying for eBucks Rewards.
2.10.2. SIMPLIFIED AND CUSTOMISED 2.10.2.1.

2.10.2.2.
You will earn eBucks back on premiums for the following cover types: Life Cover, Critical Illness Cover, Permanent Disability Cover, Income Protection, Dynamic Life>> Home and Family Funeral.
2.10.2.3.
If you have Life Cover, you must have a nominated beneficiary, with a valid ID and contact number. Should you wish to formally nominate your estate/trust as a beneficiary please contact FNB Life to note this, otherwise your policy will not qualify for this benefit. For your Dynamic Life policy, you may also nominate FNB as a qualifying beneficiary.
2.10.2.4.
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to a total monthly premium spend of R7 000.
2.10.2.5.
The monthly premiums on your qualifying FNB Life Insurance Simplified, Customised or Dynamic Life products must be paid on time from your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Account or FNB Private Wealth Signet Cheque Account. You won’t earn eBucks for any month where premiums weren’t paid – either because you didn’t make payment that month, or because FNB Life Insurance chose to waive your premium that month for any reason.
2.10.2.6.

In the case of an FNB Life Simplified and Customised or Dynamic Life policy, only the payer of the premiums will earn eBucks; other lives insured and/or beneficiaries named in the policy won’t earn eBucks.
2.10.2.8.
These rules apply automatically upon you qualifying for eBucks Rewards.
2.11. LOUNGE ACCESS 2.11.1. To qualify for complimentary entry to the SLOW and Bidvest Premier Lounges, all your accounts with FNB and FirstRand Bank Limited must be in good standing. Note: the SLOW Lounge Terms & Conditions will apply. Visit www.fnb.co.za for more information on SLOW Lounge benefits. 2.11.2. If you don’t qualify for complimentary entry for any reason the normal entry fees will apply: R250 per person for the Domestic Lounges and R400 per person for International Lounges. 2.11.3. Complimentary SLOW and Bidvest Premier Lounge entries are limited to the cardholder, their first guest and children under 18. 2.11.4. Linked (secondary) FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Cards, FNB Private Wealth Signet Cheque Cards or Signet Credit Cards share the visits allocated to primary cardholder (i.e. visits are allocated at account level and not on a cardholder level). 2.11.5. The main account holder is permitted to take a maximum of 2 (two) children into a Bidvest Premier Lounge per visit. 2.11.6. SLOW in the City entries are limited to four complimentary entries per month including two guests per visit, as long all your accounts with FNB and FirstRand Bank Limited are in good standing. 2.12. SIGNET LIFESTYLE BENEFIT 2.12.1. In addition to earning eBucks back on your qualifying FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card, Signet Cheque Card and Signet Credit Card spend you have the potential to be rewarded with up to 1 million extra eBucks if your accumulated FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card or Signet Credit Card spend is greater than R1million over a 12-month period. 2.12.2. The initial 12-month period starts from the first day of the month following the anniversary date on which you opened your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Account or Signet Credit Card Account (“anniversary date”). 2.12.3. Accumulated Credit Card spend includes spend on additional FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card(s) or Signet Credit Card(s). 2.12.4. The additional eBucks will be paid into the main account holder’s eBucks account. 2.12.5. FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card or Signet Credit Card spend starts accumulating from the date the FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Account or Signet Credit Card Account is opened until the next anniversary date. 2.12.6. You have 365 days from anniversary date to reach the amounts stipulated below. 2.12.7. Every year on your anniversary date, you will again qualify to earn the Signet Lifestyle Benefit (i.e. accumulated spend resets to zero at the beginning of each anniversary date) and you will qualify to earn up to an additional 1 million extra eBucks as per these rules below.

2.12.7.1.
If, within the 12-month period, you have an accumulated spend of R1 000 000 on your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and / or Signet Credit Card from your anniversary date you will get an additional eBucks allocation of eB250 000.
2.12.7.2.
If, within the 12-month period, you have an accumulated spend of R1 500 000 on your FNB Fusion Private Wealth Signet Card and / or Signet Credit Card from your anniversary date you will get another eBucks allocation of eB250 000 (over and above the initial eB250 000 allocated above).
