An Interview with Caleb Kudah
But it hasn't been easy. Being a journalist, and a true My documentary on Shai Osudoku District Hospital was one for that ma er, is to be in love with one's country a painstaking one that honours the effort of a Ghanaian and its people. In story-telling, Jus ce Baido is wonderful. Farida Shaibu, Kojo Agyeman, Pearl Akanya Ofori, great people. Joseph Ackah-Blay makes court repor ng feel like a piece of cake. I dread it. Maxwell Agbagba is impressive with his rape reports. I hope rape can end, so we focus on potholes and trotro. Such dehumanizing cases are just too much for me to take. T Tell us two people (one Ghanaian and one of any other na onality) you have always dreamed of interviewing and why. I I came an inch close to interviewing Paul Kagame. And I look forward to interviewing him one day. We all know what Paul has done with Rwanda. There are excesses, I agree. But I respect the transforma on he has delivered for Rwanda. There are Paul Kagames in Ghana managing public and private ins tu ons with excellence. I hope to shine some light on their love for country one day. Besides Besides Paul and his ilk, I love interviewing the everyday people. They are real. I always dream of interviewing more of such, especially the younger people on their fears, their dreams, their struggles, their vani es and vulnerabili es, ambi ons, failures and achievements and the older people on their experiences, regrets, proud moments, reflec on on life etc. If not at Ci , which other media house would you work in and why? IfIf there is a place be er than Ci in Ghana, I will recommend others to go, so I stay here. Otherwise it's the best or nothing. A li le bird told us you are gearing up to become a pastor in The Church of Pentecost. How true is this? Hahahahahaha.ahahahahaha. This bird must be an okpo bird! Look, I love God, I love H church. I love to live out my faith. I honestly pray against becoming a pastor. I believe my secular work has sacred value in the eyes of God. People combine ministry and secular work, great. I am not sure if I can. But if God will be sa sfied with the small leadership roles I play now in church while I do journalism, He and I should be just cool! What does the future hold for Caleb Kudah? The The best only. Only the best is good enough. And if the future doesn't hold it, I will create it. God being my helper! Thank you for making the me, Caleb. Thank you
A Poem by LorettaAbby Agyarkoaa Baah They once told me That my wri ng should be able to grab them Should be able to pop their eyeballs Should be able to make them writhe So, then I decided to tell this story This story is about you I It’s about somebody Anybody at all But then again, It’s about nobody Nobody wants to be told the blatant truth About the extremity of non-humanness It is only nobody Who ants to see the spla er of the child’s brain ma er Who w Only nobody wants to read About the woman who was impaled on the spiky phallus For finding another use for her nether lips Whose fault is it anyway? Shall we blame Religion? Morality? Society? Liberality? W Well, there they go On and on and on They will say it This me, Please tone it down. Your wri ng made me writhe Uncomfortably so.
