Welcome to Kidderminster Carolians Rugby Football Club Dear players and parents Welcome to the 2012 – 2013 rugby season at the Carolians. After another great season of growth, KCRFC Mini’s & Junior’s can be proud of their achievements in particular the U10’s winning the Bowl at the Worcester tournament and Under 8’s winning the Abergavenny & Redditch festival’s. We even had the U7’s & 8’s playing at halftime at Sixways (showing the Warriors the stars of the future).

RESULTS 2012/2013 Age Group Date

Team Played

The strength of any club is shown in the volunteers that make it all happen. At KCRFC we are fortunate to have so many people that give up their time and energy to make the club the best it can be for players, parents and the wider community. In order to make a club truly great, it is important to have the bed rock of a strong social aspect to the club. Last year’s social highlights included the legendary Port & Stilton day, Annual Players Ball, Family Fun Day as well as a plethora of other social functions. We are keen to involve parents in the club and value our volunteers very highly, without them our club would not be so successful. Please feel welcome to come and meet club members at any time and find out more about how you could help. We continue to strive for great coaching within the club and the recent appointment of Stu Eades as the Colts coach is a coup for the club. All our volunteer coaches are fully supported by the club to improve their experience and attend many of the Personal Development Courses held within the region. Therefore improving the quality of training as well as making us more competitive but ensuring the children have fun. All coaches are CRB checked and we have an abundance of First Aiders spread throughout the club. I hope you all have an enjoyable season of rugby both on and off the pitch. Safety & Welfare

Our philosophy at Kidderminster Carolians is to enjoy the game of rugby and to encourage players of all standards. We aim to provide a safe environment for all and everyone has a part to play in this; Committee members, coaches, volunteers, players, parents and guardians. All players MUST wear gum shields

Boots must have the correct studs of which the coaches can advise

We strongly encourage all parents who assist in coaching on a regular basis to gain RFU coaching qualifications. All squads must have at least one qualified coach who will have covered the following elements: *Coaching and developing players *Injury prevention and First Aid *Child protection

All Assistant Coaches, Coaches, Volunteers and Committee Members have undergone a Criminal Records Bureau check

If you are not staying to watch, you must make sure that the Team Coach or Manager has an emergency contact number for you. Children under the age of 8 years MUST NOT be left.

Rugby is a contact sport and whilst we take every care to minimise the risk of injury, injuries do occur. The club has the RFU Compulsory Insurance cover BUT we recommend that you take out your own individual, more comprehensive, insurance cover
