“Man is essentially ignorant, and becomes learned through acquiring knowledge.”
-Ibn Khaldun
While preparing for AIAPGET, I myself realized that there is real dearth in authentic Previous Years Questions (PYQs) collections to rely upon. Most of the available PYQs compilations neither contained suitable explanatory answers nor arranged subject wise, which left me feeling unsatisfied as an aspirant. AIAPGET is a very dynamic examination requires in-depth analysis and vast knowledge of the subjects. So, for smart and cumulative understanding of the exam one should always look to the PYQ papers as they are the only authentic source of information about the nature of examination along with syllabus. For that purpose, I compiled the book UnaVerse 1.0, a complete manual for AIAPGET aspirants. This book is first of its kind in Unani Medicine. It comprises solved PYQs of AIAPGET in subject wise succession with authentic explanatory answers for more comprehensive understanding of subjects as well AIAPGET exam patterns. A table of subject wise weightage of PYQs analysis has been included towards the start of the book. Moreover, four recent solved papers of different States Medical Officer Examinations have been added for wider coverage. An annexure having total PG intake capacity of Unani colleges across India with latest stipendiary details have been attached to the end of the book to give all the necessary information regarding higher studies in India. Importance of solving PYQs- Competition for AIAPGET is tough, so by practicing PYQ papers, aspirants can manage their time as well as accuracy for this competitive examination. Here I am sharing some benefits of solving PYQs. § § §
It will help you to understand current trend of the examination. You will get a rough idea of how many questions being asked from which portion of the syllabus. Solving PYQs helps you to revise the syllabus quickly.
Best way for an aspirant to prepare AIAPGET- Follow the strategy that I call “Learn-Test-Revise”, Let’s break things down to pieces. (A) Pre-requisites§ § § §
Set your goal and be punctual. Know your syllabus. Decide what to learn and what not to learn. Understand the weightage of questions from the PYQ. Collect the resources, authentic books, notes, videos etc.
(B) The Marathon§ §
Make a schedule and build a routine and follow it religiously. Sleep for fixed hours without any compromise.
§ §
Study for 5 days, revise next day the whole week syllabus and take mock-test every weekends. (Remember that postponing of mock-test till the end is suicidal). Strict to the schedule and believe in yourself.
(C) The Final push§ § § §
Ensure that your preparation schedule would make you complete the syllabus three months prior to the exam. Focus on revision and take more mocks, devise a real time strategy to tackle the examination. Work on your weakness, build confidence and prepare yourself mentally. A day before the exam don’t read anything new. Just relax and let the months of hard work reap the fruit of success.
“A meritorious BUMS Graduate always pursue MD sooner or later. So, the wiser are those who do it without wasting time and prepare for it sincerely.” A late Achiever Wish you success not just in AIAPGET, but in life!! Despite every possible effort been undertaken to ensure no technical and typographical errors in this book, such errors are bound to be present in any book. So, if you come across any such errors or if you have any comment, suggestion or queries, you are most welcome to e-mail to me for a prompt response. All contributions will be duly acknowledged.

Every year huge number of students apply and appear in AIAPGET to secure their desired seats in postgraduate courses, but success ratio is very less due to limited number of sanctioned PG seats, Thus, here comes the importance of comprehensively Solved Previous Years Questions, which not only tells us about exam pattern but also provides outlines of very probable concepts and questions to be asked in upcoming AIAPGETs. This book UnaVerse 1.0 is more comprehensive and a complete manual for AIAPGET aspirants with a maximum number of Previous Years Questions supported with answers and solutions. Every chapter of this book has easy to follow pattern, and sincere efforts are made to provide the English equivalents for most of the Arabic/Persian/Urdu Unani terms used in the questions and answers, which is very useful for aspirants to master in broad understanding of Unani theories in light of modern medicine concepts . This compilation is first of its kind for Unani Medicine graduates seeking to secure the admission in postgraduate courses. The book deciphers the latest pattern of current AIAPGET as well as various medical officer exams. It provides a detailed outline about each section subject-wise that helps Aspirants to make appropriate strategies to qualify the AIAPGET. It contains wide range of authentic explanatory answers for more broad understanding of the AIAPGET syllabus in a very lucid and easy to grasp manner which allows aspirants to be well prepared for the PG entrance. Hence, this book is strongly recommended for the aspirants who are looking forward to qualify competitive examinations of Unani discipline as well as for other AYUSH systems of medicine. With great expectation, I look forward that this book will benefit the students, faculty and particularly the aspirants seeking to get the admission in postgraduate courses.

I love the idea that Hkm Waish Ahmad has compiled a book that every AIAPGET aspirant will find genuinely beneficial- from beginners to achievers. Hkm Waish Ahmad is a sincerely honest Unani scholar with techy touch. He believes in bringing out the best of, all he tries-all he knows! He is the finest and most diligent medical graduate from Govt. Tibbi College & Hospital (GTCH) Patna. His approach to ‘Unani Medicine as a science’ is unmatchable- incorporation of updated technologies, classical classi concepts, and a scientific approach with adorable literature can be seen in his work/activities. He is the Y generation of Unani Medicine- I wish him all the best. I would refer and invite the readers for critical scrutiny, response, and feedback.
