applications: • Marine generators already covered by the Standard for Marine Electric Motors and Generators (UL 1112). • UPS equipment already covered by the Standard for Uninterruptible Power Supply Equipment
UL 2200 Listed generator sets also comply with the construction requirements and operational guidelines of UL Standards for control panels (UL 508A), insulation systems (UL 1446), and fuel tanks (UL 142), which are all referenced by UL 2200.
While previous Cat generator set designs already met or exceeded many of these Standards prior to UL 2200, Caterpillar has made the investment to formally receive periodic UL packaging facility auditing and to maintain UL Listing on a complete line of generator set packages.

UL Listed battery chargers are also available to generator set customers.
Hoses, belts, and fittings comply with industry standards such as SAE.
Generator insulating systems comply with UL 1446 and are UL Recognized as Class F.
Caterpillar’s Electronic Modular Control Panels (EMCP) are UL 508A Listed.
In addition, generators are sized to comply with UL 2200 temperature rise limits.
Fuel tank design, including dual wall construction, must meet UL 142 Standard. A full line of UL Listed fuel tank bases is available for many Cat generator sets.
UL 508A Listed analog and digital voltage regulators available.
Wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, and terminal strips meet strict performance and durability tests. Elements used within the jacket water heater are UL Recognized.
Installed and shipped loose, UL Listed circuit breakers are available up to 2500A.
