THE STEAM SAUNA WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE STEAM SAUNA ?
It has long been acknowledged that a hot steam bath stimulates the circulation naturally, helping to decongest internal organs and clear the airways. Today it is known that a sauna can help relieve rheumatic pains, ease the discomfort experienced during menstruation, and in general relax tense muscles. Taken regularly and with proper caution, a steam sauna is of great advantage generally in promoting psychological and physical well-being, and aiding relaxation. And the beneficial effects of steam are no less apparent in beauty care: skin becomes softer and more elastic as the pores dilate and impurities are shed. The moisturizing action of steam prevents and attenuates the formation of wrinkles and combats cellulite, especially when the sauna is followed by a lukewarm shower. The effects of a sauna can also be enhanced by adding aromatic and medicinal herbs that have been prized for centuries as aids to health. Working with a well-known specialist laboratory, Teuco has prepared a range of four herbal blends having different properties: refreshing, stimulating, relaxing and toning. When placed in a special dispenser and allowed to come into contact with steam, their full aroma is released into the cabin.
SAFETY AND HYGIENE The sauna system is equipped with a series of technical devices which guarantee you maximum safety. The long life of the system is ensured by a filter which eliminates all chlorine and lime in the water used to produce the steam.
SOME USEFUL HINTS ON PROPER USE OF THE STEAM SAUNA Never take a sauna straight after eating; wait at least 30 minutes. Select a moderate temperature and a short duration for the first few sessions, then increase gradually as the body becomes accustomed. A session should never last longer than 20/25 minutes. After the sauna, rinse off with a lukewarm shower and then towel down, rubbing the whole body vigorously. This is also a good moment to apply a moisturizing cream to the skin. Liquids should be taken both before and after a sauna, preferably water, or fruit juices, isotonic beverages, sports drinks, etc. 12

Carry out a manual regeneration cycle when turning on the sauna for the first time (See HOW TO CARRY OUT THE REGENERATION CYCLE); this is so as to ensure maximum efficiency of the system.
ON/OFF Sauna
ON/OFF Internal Cabin Light
Press the "SAUNA" button. The panel will display the previous Climate and Timer settings.
Press “ “to switch the internal cabin light on and off.
"LED" showing Sauna lenght Button for Selecting the Sauna Length Select the sauna length (20, 30 or 40 minutes) by pressing the “ “ button.
"LED" showing operating temperature
REGENERATION Alarm Signal Button for Selecting a Different Climate If a different climate is desired, change the setting with the “ “ button. Steam will be delivered to the cabin two minutes later. The sauna automatically functions at the maximum climate setting for the first 10 minutes, regardless of the climate which has been selected on the control panel. This allows the operating climate within the cabin to be reached rapidly.
When the sauna is in use, steam will enter the cabin from the inlet at temperatures in the region of 100°C. CAUTION: ALWAYS keep a safe distance from the steam inlet to avoid being scalded. Press "SAUNA" if you want to stop the cycle before the set time. The system is automatically emptied at the end of the sauna cycle (SAUNA will flash). Should you want the cycle to continue, press "SAUNA" and set a new time length.
AROMATIC AND MEDICINAL HERBS The steam of the sauna can be enriched with aromatic and medicinal herbs placed in the dispenser at the bottom of the cabin. CAUTION: place the herbs in the dispenser before activating the sauna, to avoid scalding. MULTI EASY

THE MULTIFUNCTION JETS The jets can be adjusted by rotating the bosses (using the key 1 if necessary), to give the following effects.
FULL MASSAGE
ECONOMY
PULSATOR
The FULL MASSAGE function uses all 6 outer nozzles incorporated into the jet for maximum impact and stimulation.
With the ECONOMY setting, the 6 outer nozzles are partly restricted so that the system uses less water and can operate with a lower inlet pressure (1 bar only).
The PULSATOR massage likewise consumes less water, since only the 3 inner nozzles are used; the jets produce a highly pleasurable rhythmically alternating pulsed effect.
Use the key (1) to adjust the jets. 1

MAINTENANCE REGENERATION
After every 20 hours of use, a flashing "R" and an alarm signal indicate the need to run a regeneration cycle. WHAT IS THE REGENERATION CYCLE? The sauna is equipped with a system of special resin cartridges which absorb the lime and chlorine contained in the water. These resins should be periodically REGENERATED by running salt water through the system. HOW TO CARRY OUT THE REGENERATION CYCLE Turn the appropriate container anti-clockwise to unscrew it from the cabin roof. Fill the container with COARSE COOKING SALT or with a water softener (for dishwashers), then screw it back onto the cabin roof. Press “ “ and “ “ at the same time for a few seconds. The cycle lasts 40 minutes. At the end of the regeneration cycle, remove any salt residues from the container. MANUAL REGENERATION CYCLE When the system has not been used for a long period of time, the regeneration cycle should be run manually. Insert the COARSE SALT as described above, press “ “ and “ “ at the same time and switch on the sauna by using the "SAUNA" button.
CLEANING OF ACRYLIC SURFACES AND ACCESSORIES GENERALLY Teuco regularly tests proprietary detergents and cleaners for use on smooth surfaces. General cleaning products can be used with no problems whatever for normal cleaning. Apply with a sponge or soft cloth and rinse off with clean water. In case of more specific cleaners such as descalers, on the other hand, these have an alkaline composition that can damage painted surfaces (e.g. uprights and tracks on shower, hydroshower and hydrosteam cabins, taps, etc.). Accordingly, use these only when absolutely necessary and with extreme caution, rinsing off straight away with clean water. For best results, dry off with a wash leather, which cleans thoroughly without leaving any water marks. NEVER USE ABRASIVE DETERGENTS, ALCOHOL, ALCOHOL-BASED SUBSTANCES, ACETONE OR ANY OTHER SOLVENTS. The sheen of the acrylic can be maintained by applying a normal household polish periodically.
CLEANING PARTS IN GLASS Clean Glass treatment (optional) - thanks to the exclusive Clean Glass treatment adopted by Teuco for its shower cabins, droplets of water run off the surface of the glass much more quickly and are easily removed. To ensure lasting efficiency of the water-repellent treatment, the surface of the glass should be wiped down with a dry cloth after every shower. Do not use proprietary cleaners formulated for normal glass, as their composition (alkaline) can cause CLEAN GLASS to deteriorate. Proprietary cleaners for normal glass can be used on surfaces without the Clean Glass treatment, and on mirrors. 16

CLEANING THE TAPS • COLOURED SURFACES can be cleaned with non abrasive liquid detergent and water. • CHROME, BRASS and GOLD PLATED surfaces must be cleaned only with a cloth or sponge wettened with clean water and wrung out. IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE cloths containing synthetic fibres, abrasive sponges, metallic scouring pads, powder detergents and abrasive liquid cleaners, alcohol, household acids or polish removers: all these will damage the surface.
CLEANING THE STEAM NOZZLES The nozzles need to be periodically cleaned in order to prevent the drain holes from becoming blocked by herb residues, which causes the production of extremely hot water during use of the sauna.
CLEANING THE JETS Dismantle the jet using the appropriate spanner (1). To clean the jet, use a product for lime buildup and rinse with water. Re-fit the filter by screwing the cap back on without tightening excessively.
