RE: Director of Support Personnel

I would like to be considered for the Director of Support Personnel position that you have posted on the Edmond Public Schools website. I graduated from Hennessey High School and furthered my education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and West Texas A&M University. As a lifelong learner, I believe this position would provide a great opportunity to further my learning as an educator. I am currently the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel at Dumas ISD in Dumas, Texas. I feel that my years (30) of experience in education make me an ideal candidate for this position. My willingness to work hard and build my skill sets will make me a great applicant. I have eighteen years of experience as a classroom teacher/coach and twelve years’ experience as an administrator. As a classroom teacher/coach it has helped me build the relationships needed between a teacher and their students. It has also helped me build those relationships with my colleagues. As an administrator, my experience has helped me build those same relationships but also to understand why some decisions, although not always popular, have to be made. Also as an administrator I have gained the real understanding of being a leader and realizing how much people depend on you. My resume will show that I have a great deal of working across many areas which have all been great learning experiences. Those experiences have molded me into the educator that I am today. Without the different positions that I have held in my career, I know that I wouldn’t be where I am at today. I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.
