Denver Airport Parking Denver International Airport is one of the nation's top five busiest airports. Denver International Airport is the only major airport to be built in the United States in the last 25 years. The current facility can accommodate 50 million passengers a year without any additional construction.

DIA Airport South Terminal South Terminal Redevelopment Program The design for the South Terminal Redevelopment Program will strengthen DIA's connection to the city’s urban core and transform DIA itself into a travel destination. The South Terminal Redevelopment Program is made up of three independent, yet physically integrated projects, which include the design and construction of: A 519-room Westin hotel and conference center A Public Transit Center to include a Regional Transportation District (RTD) East Rail Line station and improvements to the existing concourse baggage and train systems A public plaza for programs and events that connects the development to the existing Jeppesen Terminal

Scheduled for completion in 2015 with the rail line opening in 2016, DIA’s South Terminal Redevelopment Program will serve as a driver for economic growth in the Denver metro region.

DIA Airport Security Please read about security and security related information at Denver International (DIA) Airport.

Security Screening Security at Denver International Airport means keeping travelers safe. We work together with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide the best air travel security possible at all times. The TSA is responsible for screening every passenger who flies and every bag that is loaded onto an airplane at DIA. Denver International Airport has three passenger screening checkpoints. Two in Jeppesen Terminal (one north and one south in the atrium on Level 5) and one at the entrance to the pedestrian bridge to A Gates. All passengers must pass through one of these screening checkpoints before they can proceed to airline departure gates, no exceptions. At passenger screening locations, TSA security officers will process you and your carry-on bag. To pass through through screening, you will need a current government-issued ID and a valid boarding pass.

Security Pre-Screening Programs Denver International Airport offers three programs that are designed to enhance and expedite security screening services at the airport.

Global Entry Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Global entry members are processed by biometric identification in less than five minutes at kiosks. Though intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program. Participants may enter the United States by using automated kiosks located at select airports, including Denver International Airport.

TSA Pre✓™ TSA Pre✓™ is designed to enhance and expedite security by placing more focus on individuals for pre-screening by volunteering information about themselves prior to flying. Eligible participants include certain frequent flyers invited from participating airlines

(Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and US Airways) as well as members of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs (Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS) who are U.S. citizens and fly on participating airlines. At Denver International Airport, the designated TSA Pre✓™ screening lane is located at the South Checkpoint in Jeppesen Terminal. Please look for the signage. Through the TSA Pre✓™ vetting process, information is embedded in a barcode of the passenger’s bo arding pass. Only at this lane TSA will be able to read the barcode to see if a passenger is eligible for expedited screening. Benefits include no longer removing the following items: shoes, 3 1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag from carry-on, laptop from bag, light outerwear/jacket and belt. TSA will always incorporate random and unpredictable security measures throughout the airport and no individual will be guaranteed expedited screening.

CLEAR CLEAR offers members speed and predictability through their own premium lanes and travel document verification kiosks at DIA's north and south security screening checkpoints. CLEARlanes are easily identified with a large blue CLEARcube. Members present their CLEARcard to a uniformed CLEAR attendant, verify their identity with their fingerprints or iris image, and then head through to security screening.
