Ø A group of words without any meaning cannot be called a sentence. Ø There are four types of sentences: declarative or assertive, imperative, exclamatory and interrogative sentences. The subject is the person, place, animal or thing about which the sentence is written. The part of the sentence from the verb is the predicate. The verb is the main word of the predicate.
