April 20, 2018 Dear Friends, The 27th Annual Huth Invitational Golf Outing will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Chenoweth Golf Club in Akron. This event is the largest source of funding for the Laura and Henry Huth Charitable Foundation. Our sponsors and friends make a real difference in the lives of children and young adults through the programs funded by the Foundation. For your convenience, we have moved back the start time this year to 10:30am, AND we will have TWO Hole in One Contest(s), each with a cash prize of a $2,500. We will also be forwarding information shortly regarding some great raffle items! You can expect another special day of gathering with friends, fun golf, and great food... all for a great cause. Once again we’ve partnered with ProjectREBUILD for this year’s event. ProjectREBUILD assists “at risk youth” since their goals align with the Mission of The Henry and Laura Huth Charitable Foundation. We also provide scholarships for students to attend a private grade school that is renowned for excellence in Portage County. Register for sponsorship or sign up for golf using the enclosed registration form. If you would like to register and pay the day of event, just let us know and we’ll count you in! Act early as registration is limited to 108 golfers. All sponsorships will be acknowledged. We’re grateful for the support provided by our sponsors and friends, which is making a real difference in the lives of children and young adults through the programs funded by the Foundation. About the Henry and Laura Huth Charitable Foundation Henry and Laura Huth were known for their acts of generosity and compassion that touched the lives of children and families in their community. Chartered in 2000 by members of the Huth family, the Foundation honors their memory by funding programs that empower youth – providing them with basic skills, positive role models and a wealth of opportunities that can help them achieve their full potential. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, contributions to the foundation are tax-deductible under IRS guidelines. Where does the support go? The Foundation maintains a long-standing partnership with Project REBUILD, which assists at-risk youths by providing them with hands-on education and training. The program has been recognized for its success in helping these young men and women complete a high school diploma or GED and acquire valuable skills in construction technologies. Over the years, the Foundation has provided more than $70,000 to support this vital effort. Also, the Foundation continues to support a private school in Portage County. Tuition support enables disadvantaged students to progress through a school renowned for excellence. It’s been very gratifying to monitor the progress of these recipients as they take advantage of the outstanding educational opportunities.
