The 2021 Rosemont real estate market is off at a fast pace. Homes that are in good condition and priced well are selling briskly. Only a few homes are coming on the market and demand is high. March is normally the start of the spring market but from our own experience and talking to agents throughout the area, it appears the inventory drought is likely to continue through the first half of the year. There are a number of reasons for this. COVID is causing some long-time owners who might have downsized to stay put for now and not move to senior housing. Others are waiting for the vaccine to reduce the threat of contracting COVID and in general, there are just fewer homes being built while the pool of buyers continues to grow.
