A split test granting the ability to test variations of creatives/messaging when creating a campaign. An A/B Test helps determine which variation of the campaign converts best.
A/B Test
Advertiser
someone who has a product or service they want to sell (and owns the product’s site)
Affiliate
A marketer who receives commission for marketing an advertiser’s offer (owns marketing sites)
Agency
a type of Pushnami account where the client can send content but allows Pushnami to create content for retargeting purposes. Usually they pay a flat fee of $1k a month, and we do all the work for them. There are very few agency accounts.
AMP
also known as Accelerated Mobile Pages is a feature that is used to optimize mobile web browsing and intended to help web pages load faster.
API
allows an external application to update Pushnami subscriber variables.
API Key
a unique identifier assigned to each site when added to Pushnami
Aggressive WF
a strategy of sending the WF campaigns every 5 min for the first hour
Browser Files
refers to the service worker and manifest files collectively
Campaign
the creative that is sent to subscribers (also known as a notification/offer).
Cart Abandonment Campaigns
a notification message used by ecommerce clients to remind a subscriber to complete a website purchase that was started.
Child Campaign
See sub campaign an assortment of campaigns/offers that are similar in content which is used by Pushnomics.
Collection
Constants
allows you to declare a "single value" for all subscribers of a website
Conversion
based on the client's desired action (for example, a client may consider a subscriber completing a form to be a conversion)
A way our system is able to track how much $$ a specific campaign Conversion Tracking made. This is a super admin feature that you would turn on for the stats to display in the admin Customer Health Score
A scale measuring the satisfaction of a client and likelihood to remain a client. The scale ranges from At-Risk to Champion.
CPA
cost per action/acquisition (used by Advertisers to calculate cost). Our Pushnomics Collections are CPA campaigns
CPC
cost per click (used by Advertisers to calculate cost). Our PushClick feed are CPC campaigns
CPM
cost per thousand impressions (usually used by Advertisers to calculate cost). This goes off the delivered number for a campaign, so we focus on the delivery number, not the sent number.
CTR
click through rate. Calculated by dividing the number of clicks by the number of delivered notifications.
Custom Reporting
a reporting style created internally for clients to track clicks and revenue by domain. (https://pushnami-custom-reports.pushnami.net/v2/)
Delivery Test
a strategy setup when delivered rate is lower than 40% on a domain.
Digipropz
Pushnami's internal properties. This is also an internal account.
Digipropz Campaigns
Internal campaigns (Pushnami is the advertiser) that we run on our network to our clients.
Direct Auto Solution a feed that is integrated to send auto searches Direct Jobs Solution
a feed that is integrated to send job searches. The pushnomics collection is called Jobs Only
Direct Real Estate
a feed that is integrated to send real estate / homes. The pushnomics collection is called Real Estate Only
Domain
the website added to the Pushnami account (also referred to as site).
Double-Tap
allows two notifications to be sent without duplicating a campaign.
eCommerce
the commercial style clients/accounts. (more specifically Shopify clients)
Enterprise
a type of Pushnami account where the client independently manages the content and send strategy.
Export
Exporting a clients subscriber list. This includes all of the information associated with a subscriber. You will work with our tech team to get this information
External Feed
a customized link that is used when creating campaigns. This link dynamically powers notifications (usually monetized notifications).
GCM Key
GCM keys are the old version of VAPID keys. Back before VAPID was introduced, every provider used GCM credentials to message their subscribers. Some providers (like us) used a different set of credentials for each client so that we can provide those credentials in exports without also giving away the keys for other clients. But we suspected some providers did not do that, which is why they are reluctant to share credentials that may have been shared between multiple clients

GTM
Google Tag Manager (colloquially known as GTM) is a script (or tag) management system that allows you to install tags, scripts and other helpful snippets of codes to your website directly
HitPath
an external revenue tracking portal used by clients to track revenue and conversions. (https://admin.pushreturn.com/index.php) a split test strategy known as hard splits. This allows us to test the exact group of subscribers each time.

HV (High Volume)
A strategy of sending once an hour so 24x a day a 300x300 image used when creating a notification (usually a logo)
Icon
iframe Subscribe
refers to when the client adds a blank webpage to the same folder that hosts the service worker, and adds the front-end script there. The support team will then enable a backend function that uses the added page to subscribe from the opt-in page.

Import

refers to an older Pushnami account.

Pushnami's internal name for email solution.
Managed
a type of Pushnami account which allows Pushnami to send on behalf of the client on a revshare basis.
Manifest
a part of the installation assets required to ensure notifications are delivered to subscribers.
Mobile Push
Pushnami's app based push notification feature.
Native Ads
a type of advertising that matches the form and function of the platform upon which it appears. In many cases it functions like an advertorial, and manifests as a video, article or editorial. (For example, Taboola,

a feature specific to Android users which allows client to choose notification icon to appear. (must be enabled from Super Admin flags)

Opt- In Rate
The rate of how many visits you get vs. how many of the visits are subscribing to your site. Average opt-in rate is 10%-20% the prompt that allows a website visitor to become a subscriber.

also known as Pushnami subscriber ID refers to a unique identifying value that is assigned to each subscriber.

Pushnami’s affiliate network. This service is also used to track revenue by affiliate (Also known as HitPath)

a monetization feed powered by our ad partners and internal offers. Also known as an external feed.

the agreed share of revenue between Pushnami and client a feature which consolidates information sources in one place and provides updates when a site adds new content (example news)
RSS Feed
S3 Report
a customized report provided by Pushnami for clients to track granular campaign details. An application is downloaded to access this report.
Safari APN
a feature that must be enabled for MacOS users to receive push notifications on Safari browsers. ( Safari Apple Push Notification)
Scrape
a customized feed built for the RSS function. Usually used if there is not enough content available, or the feed requires customized functions
Scrub
the removal of inactive subscribers.
Segmentation
A group of 0 or more policies that are tailored for specific devices, browsers, and browser versions.
Service Worker
A browser file that is required for installation that allows code to run for specific websites even when the page isn't currently open. So in our case, they allow us to send messages to the users of those sites, and display them on their device, without them needing to have the page open

Sid
is the campaign identifier within the link. Every campaign has a different sid

A strategy of sending twice an hour so 48x a day
Super Offer
one main offer which sends out to all segments. It makes it easier to optimize on one page rather than multiple pages. This is essentially a way to consolidate scheduling.

Transactional Campaign
a campaign that you send via an API to a specific user, with specific data. An API to send a transactional campaign to a specific subscriber, with data you pass in. You create a transactional campaign for tracking purposes, then send specific notifications through it using the API.
Trusted Domain
Recognizes another site or root domain as authenticated to mirror the primary domain.
TTL
otherwise known as “time to live.” This is the number of days between when a specific offer is delivered to a subscriber. In other words, “deliver every X days per subscriber,” where X = TTL
UTM Parameters
Urchin Tracking Module parameters are five variants of URL parameters used by marketers to track the effectiveness of online marketing campaigns across traffic sources and publishing media

Variable
characteristics associated with the subscriber. Pushnami can absorb any variable as long as the client can pass us subscriber information back to us. Example: gender is a variable.
VAPID Key
The access key pair for a FCM platform. Every site should have one platform associated with it, so one key pair per site.
Vertical
an industry that defines a site's content (for example, if a website has a plethora of financial content, the vertical is financial)
Visible Rate
Percentage of users that subscribed after being shown the default opt-in
