“ The combination of theory and practice is one of the strong pillars of the MSc. This is underlined by the dynamic exchange with the Sophia Antipolis entrepreneurial ecosystem. Students were challenged to apply the fundamentals taught in the classroom with local entrepreneurs, companies, and investors. Networking was built in from day one, and entrepreneurship was experienced daily. Innovation is a fascinating topic, and this programme is the right one for those who want to dig deep into it. I’m now working in the venture capital industry. I’m the co-founder of Circle Ventures, an investment and acceleration platform helping Brazilian deep-tech startups solve key problems of the main global value chains. „ July 2019 update from Pedro on his company:
“Circle has reached over US$ 150k in gross
revenues, mostly coming from our investment project with Tarpon Investimentos, one of Brazil’s largest private equity firms with over US$ 4 billion AUM. Circle has capitalised on its founders’ track record in venture capital and the agfood sector to structure and co-manage the $10 billion AgFood Fund alongside Tarpon. „

“ I left SKEMA with the skills and confidence to launch my new business After ending my career as a professional athlete, I chose this MSc because I hoped to launch a real estate business. I did not have a business school background and wanted a programme that provided a practical curriculum tailored to my desire to become an entrepreneur. Through courses like New Venture & Business Plan not only did I leave SKEMA with the skills and confidence to launch my new business, but I also had the opportunity to develop and incubate the project. During the MSc, I created the business plan for a boutique hotel, and I am using lean startup methodology to get started in the hospitality industry with short-term rental properties. The MSc allowed me to go through the process of building a business plan for a hotel, and by doing that I discovered that my current capabilities and resources allowed me to enter the hospitality industry much more quickly through short-term rentals, rather than the larger-scale project of launching a hotel. The Robbins Nest is launching next month. „ Sarah Robbins MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Class of 2018
MSc ENTREPRENEURSHIP & INNOVATION
“Right after the MSc EI, I started Devalaya, a hospitality business that provides food and beverage services along with corporate hospitality solutions in Nepal. The company raised 90 000 euros from three different partners and investors that have confidently supported my vision and long-term plan. We already have lots of people who are keen and the venture will soon be featured in national business magazines and digital platforms. The MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation played a vital role for my confidence in executing my new business in less than a year since I left the campus. It’s been an exceptional experience that has led me to the path where I always believed I belong: pure entrepreneurship.„ Sulove Dhakal MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Class of 2019
“The MSc has taught us the methodology and the spirit of entrepreneurship,
with frequent networking events, entrepreneurial meetings and pitching events. We’re now able to come up with a solid business plan that stands up to expert scrutiny. Encouraged and supported by SKEMA Ventures, I decided to launch my company immediately following the end of classes. Thanks to having the status “studententrepreneur”, I can dedicate 100% of my time to my project and draw on a powerful network of alumni and professionals. „
Alaude Lefebvre MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Class of 2018
“This MSc teaches you how to exploit the potential of collective intelligence and diversity as well as when to take the leadership and when it’s better not to.
This MSc allows you to test yourself in the real business world, as an entrepreneur as well as a manager; it’s up to you to understand who you are and what you are really suited for. You can launch your dream idea as well as providing your strategic point of view to some local companies. Last but not least, you will fully grasp the importance of human capital. I am now a Business Advisor with Bearing Point. „ Matteo Pettochi MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Class of 2017
“This MSc embodies what entrepreneurship is: the pursuit of opportunity beyond available resources, whether in startups or corporate ventures. The courses included in the curriculum are very practical, accompanied by real-life case studies and projects which enabled us to apply learnings by working directly with company leaders and executives, as well as on our business ideas. It served as a platform for us to showcase our capabilities and gave us insight into companies’ needs and expectations. „ Steve Cang MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Class of 2019
MSc ENTREPRENEURSHIP & INNOVATION
“I have been amazed by the entrepreneurial spirit at SKEMA: students are always involved in project work, there are frequent professional workshops, career events, start-up workshops. On this MSc there are splendid opportunities to develop your innovative idea and bring it to market with the help of SKEMA professors as well as entrepreneurs who work closely with the school. Everybody is willing to give professional advice, to support, to share knowledge and expertise. The only thing needed from you is a desire to create, to collaborate, to innovate, and to be passionate about what you do. SKEMA is an endless variety of opportunities that are now open to me and, most importantly, it is people. The international SKEMA environment allowed me to make friends from different parts of the world, to exchange experiences with them and to explore different cultures. In one year I fell in love with the school, with the region, with the people. I am incredibly grateful to everybody who gave me this chance to be a SKEMA student.„
“I’ve appreciated the quality of attention given to each student
and how the MSc leads you to what fits you best. There are lots of practical learning opportunities in the form of real business cases and projects where students work closely with existing companies. The cultural diversity among students brings out unique ideas and knowledge we previously were unaware of, and gives us hands-on experience in multi-national teamwork. We’ve made lifelong friends, received an excellent education and have become functional professionals. Today, I am working as an innovation manager in European Computer Telecoms AG, Munich, Germany. I am working in exactly what I studied and this is what realising a dream is all about. „ Daisy Das MSc Entrepreneurship & Innovation - Class of 2019
