Orbis’ Global Fundraising Talent Practice (GFTP) places fundraising and other dedicated L.P.-facing talent, across the globe, at all seniority levels and for every conceivable type and size of asset manager. It’s all we do and we’ve been doing it for 15 years. We want to be the best in the world, by a wide margin, in this one talent vertical, and we’re confident that we are. We work extremely hard on behalf of our clients to keep it that way. We’re known for moving fast and accurately. We have been placing between 45 and 55 fundraisers and other dedicated L.P.-facing professionals every year over the past decade. There isn’t a fundraiser search we haven’t done, and done successfully, many times over. As experts in this space, we’re able to advise our clients on most every facet of fundraising and fundraising talent. Sometimes this takes the shape of architecting or re-architecting an entire team, creating or tweaking compensation models, or introducing our clients to independent fund placement professionals and firms to augment the full-time professional(s) that we place with them. While we work with many large firms that do not need this kind of advice, smaller firms do appreciate this advice and expertise a great deal.

AN UNPARALLELED LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE Before founding Orbis (and a predecessor firm), Brian Grover built and led two fundraising efforts. Prior to this, he spent over a decade solving complex problems for alternative investment firms, while working for various blue-chip investment banks. As a recruiter, Brian focused early on fundraising talent, and has approximately 700 fundraiser and other dedicated L.P.-facing talent placements under his belt; adding approximately 50 per year to this total. There is simply no other recruiter, globally, that brings as much relevant experience, insight, information, credibility, problem-solving skills, and placement success to this talent vertical. And we’re just getting started…
WE ARE A FUNDRAISING TALENT MACHINE We have a granular and continuously growing and updated database of over 60,000 fundraisers and other dedicated L.P.-facing professionals, at all seniority levels, and with every conceivable type of background, globally. No other firm has this. We lean on it, but we don’t attempt to close our searches from this network alone; that would be dishonest to our clients; they deserve better.

LOWER FEES Our firm’s cost structure is, by design, extremely low. Our odds of success with any one search are extremely high. And our continuous activity level is extremely high. All told, we can charge our clients less because we enjoy a high likelihood of success with each and every search assignment.
