our unique service dot to dot active arts is a community interest company – a social enterprise driven to build new networks for participation in the arts so that people of all ages can benefit and learn from taking part in arts activities that are better integrated into our day to day lives. Our members are artist practitioners, arts and volunteering specialists, technicians, educators, project managers and health and children’s care specialists. We are focused on supporting and collaborating with partners to stimulate change and innovative new ways of delivering participatory arts workshops, projects and support to schools, community groups, local councils, commissioning agencies, businesses and other partners. Our artistic approach is process based and crosses all art forms from visual arts to theatre, music to textiles, and writing to film – we work in urban and rural environments and like to bring our contemporary artistic practises to projects, creating fresh ways of looking at culture, community, environments and heritage. Our collective strength of experience and diverse approaches to creative innovation ensures we create exciting new participatory arts interventions together with our forward-thinking partners. As a community interest company, we are firmly focused on ensuring all our activities benefit the communities we are part of. Our work is financed by a mix of revenue from paid for services and commissions, grant funding and money from trusts and foundations. By keeping our overheads low and our focus on delivering excellence cost-effectively, we offer maximum financial and social value to as many people as possible. As members, all our artist practitioners are committed to this community-driven approach to arts participation. We guarantee that all of our financial surpluses will be reinvested into our communities by offering free or discounted workshops to disadvantaged groups most in need and without adequate resources.
