Accommodation Requests

As some MCC departments restart on-campus operations, it is important that every employee be aware of the protocols and procedures being implemented, with a focus on the health and safety of the entire MCC community. This brief guide provides an overview of what is expected of each of us going forward.

Basic Protocols on Campus:

Remote Work

• Face coverings must be worn indoors at all times, and

outdoors when social distancing is not feasible • Practice proper hand hygiene by washing hands frequently and using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer • Social distancing of at least 6 feet, or 2 arms’ lengths, is critical to protect against the spread of COVID-19 • Departments will develop and communicate their own scheduling plans to employees

Meetings • Per Executive Order, all meetings must be limited to no more

than 10 people in a room. All attendees must wear face coverings and stay six feet apart. Employees are encouraged to use virtual meeting options such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams whenever feasible.

Daily COVID-19 Symptom Screening • All employees must complete the daily online symptom screening before work, especially if working on campus that day.

Absences • Employees must not report to campus, and notify their

supervisor immediately, if they currently: • Have a positive test result for COVID-19 • Are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 • Have been instructed by a healthcare provider to quarantine due to potential exposure to COVID-19 • Where possible, the employee should work remotely, otherwise use accrued time off or FFCRA leave. Supervisors will contact HR and receive guidance on when the employee may return.

• Employees whose positions require them to log time in and

time out must follow the COVID-19 Remote Work Protocols (Remote Work Protocols, Remote Work Acknowledgment Form, Remote Work Daily Time Sheet). This includes AFSCME, Confidential, and Part-Time Staff.

Training on COVID-19 Protocols • All employees must complete the online training and attestation by August 31.
