Healing Country Malakungku Palyantjaku

Exhibition dates 6 March - 3 April The APY Gallery is proud to present a Bushfire Fundraiser exhibition as well as the unveiling of new large-scale collaborative works. The devastating bushfires that swept the country from November 2019 onwards directly or indirectly affected us all. The APY art centres along with fellow Northern Territory based centres, wanted to contribute to those affected andhelp rebuild these communities. The works in this exhibition have been generously donated with proceeds of the sales going to bushfire affected communities, particularly the local communities of Kangaroo Island and Cudlee Creek.

Collaborative Works This unique body of work consists of large scale collaborative pieces created at the end of 2019 by emerging artists working with Elders. The pieces were made when art centres came together for a series of regional meetings to strategise about important issues and celebrate culture and togetherness.
