POEM
THE MOON A white diamond in the dark sky A white face in the dark sky It gives beauty to the sky It gives light at night. It gives dreams to night It appears in different shapes With a lots of shining stones It smiles at night and sleep in the day. Stars blink around the moon Sky sleeps around it It appears in river and streams at night And disappears in the sky. It’s a beautiful creation of God It is the beauty of the night sky. Oh moon, you are the shining star at night The guardian of night and who wanders at the night . Oh moon, You are the shining of the night sky. -

ARTICLE MALAL A : A GIRL WITH GREAT WILL POWER
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakisthani education advocate who, at the age of 17 in 2014, became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize after Surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban. Yousafzai became an advocate for girls education when she herself was still a child, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9, 2012 a gunman shot Yousafzai when she was travelling home from school. She survived and has continued to speak out on the importance of education. In 2013, she gave a speech to United Nations and published her first book, I Am Malala. In her speech she opened her heart – “I had two options, One was to remain silent and wait to be killed. And other was to speak up and then be killed. I opted the second one. I 52
decided to speak up”. Later she was awarded Pakistan’s first National Youth Peace Prize and Many other awards and was nominated for the international children’s peace prize. There was no bain in her words, but it was filled with courage and thrust for peace and education. As an honor for her bravery, it was decided to celebrate July 12 as Malala Day. Her journey of protest and eagerness towards education had made her first Pakistani and the youngest person to receive the Nobel Prize. “One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the entire world”. These are the true words of Malala. She changed the world with all these weapons. She flies. She decorated her hands not with mylanchi design but with mathematical operations. That much was her thirst for education. She dedicated herself for the social progress. Her aim is not to become an educated person, but to educate each and every child including the Taliban’s children. After Taliban’s assassination attempt nothing changed her life, except her fear, 53
hopelessness and weakness had lost and courage, strength and power strengthened. This proves that no one can kill the aspirations and dreams of a person, who is ready to change the entire world. A person becomes a great personality when he/she does something influential for the society. To that extent, the sixteen years of Malala has been a great protest against the evil forces which threatens the world. All these reasons made her one of the most influential persons in the world. Her aim was to be educated, her weapon was education, and her brave thoughts are for education. She dreams of a world which each and every child gets education. The world is eagerly waiting for her next step towards that great progress. -
