GOLF SCOPE AND CLARE WOODS ACADEMY

ABOUT CLARE WOODS ACADEMY & CUPERTINO HOME

Bartlett Learning Center (BLC), founded in 1968 and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis, assists learning disabled and developmentally disabled youth and adults to become self-sufficient and self-directed in the areas of personal growth, education, social, and emotional well-being, as well as functional living skills and vocational training. Together, under BLC, Clare Woods Academy and Cupertino Home provide a loving and trusting environment in which individuals can function to their fullest potential without regard to race, sex, creed or religion, enabling them to become responsible, respected members of family, community and society. Clare Woods Academy (CWA) is a non-public alternative day school providing a unique, specialized educational environment in a therapeutic day school setting for children and young adults ages 5 to 21. CWA facilitates specialized services for 100 children and young adults with multiple handicaps who are unable to benefit from available public school programs. Many of our students are also on the autism spectrum. In addition to our education program, services include occupational therapy, speech/language and counseling. With over 100 teachers almost half of our students have a one-on-one aide with them throughout the whole day to give the support they need to thrive. Our Vocational Department’s goal is to provide an intensive and individualized program that prepares individuals for post-school life. Cupertino Home is a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) group home, which houses adult men with developmental challenges. Located in Warrenville, Illinois, Cupertino Home is a community-based program focusing on the client’s needs and aspirations. Every person, regardless of disabilities, deserves the opportunity to live with dignity and selfsufficiency. CILA group homes like Cupertino Home help meet a critical need. As our population ages the need for CILA group homes will increase. Cupertino Home assists adults with developmental and learning disabilities to become self-sufficient and self-directed in areas of personal growth, general health, education, social and emotional well-being and functional living skills. We know we cannot continue to change the trajectory of these young people alone. It will take all of us, working together, to continue to make such positive changes. We propose a partnership with Golf Scope to help us accomplish our mission and make a difference.

PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL SUMMARY Clare Woods Academy proposes a partnership with Golf Scope that provides visibility and leadership on this critical issue across the Chicagoland region and within the local communities served by Golf Scope nationwide. Our distinguished and community events serve as the platform for a partnership. This partnership will provide Golf Scope with access to a wide audience that includes consumers, business and civic leaders, and influential members of the community. When companies engage with Clare Woods Academy through one or more distinguished and community events, they have an opportunity to meet, influence and network with other business and community leaders, as well as enhance their corporate and personal brands among peers, consumers, constituents, employees and the broader community. By partnering with CWA, you will have an impact on our students and their families. People will see and know Golf Scope as a leader committed to the well-being of your customers, your employees and your community. Our proposal includes the following: “Read The Green” exclusive partnership of the “Fore the Special Kids” Golf Tournament Golf Scope’s investment in this partnership would be $2,500
