एक भारत-श्रेष्ठ भारत की कल्पना वास्तव में हमारे देश की मूलभूत कल्पना और यथार्थ है। विश्व की प्राचीनतम सभ्यता के वाहक होने के नाते ‘वसुधैव कु टुम्बकम्’ की संस्कृ ति को साक्षात करना हमारा उत्तरदायित्व भी है। कें द्रीय विद्यालयों में भारतीय संस्कृ ति की विविधता के समावेषण को प्रारंभ से ही महत्वपूर्ण स्थान दिया गया है, अपने विद्यार्थियों में भारतीयता की भावना का पोषण हमारा प्रमुख लक्ष्य है। मध्यप्रदेश की बहुरंगी संस्कृ ति के युग्म में मणिपुर की आद्य संस्कृ ति का सामंजस्य एक अनूठा दृश्य है और अपने विद्यालय में इसका प्रत्यक्षीकरण एक अनोखा अनुभव। हमारे विद्यार्थियों ने मैतै भाषा के 100 वाक्य, राधा-कृ ष्ण का पारंपरिक नृत्य, जनजातीय मिताई लोकनृत्य, इनाफी, फानेकी जैसे वस्त्रों का पहनावा, मणिपुरी खान-पान आदि का गहन अध्ययन कर उन्हें सीखा है। मैं गर्व के साथ कह सकती हूँ कि हमारा सम्पूर्ण विद्यार्थी-वृंद बड़ी तन्मयता से मणिपुरी सामुदायिक गीत गाता है। हमने विडियो कॉन्फ्रें सिंग के माध्यम से कें द्रीय विद्यालय मणिपुर से संपर्क साधा, पेन-पॉल की परंपरा में बच्चों ने कई मित्र भी बनाए हैं। बड़े हर्ष का विषय है कि दूरदर्शन मध्यप्रदेश ने हमारे एक बड़े विद्यार्थी समूह को ‘लोकटक झील से बड़ी झील तक- एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत की सांस्कृ तिक झाँकी’ कार्यक्रम में प्रस्तुति का अवसर दिया। बच्चों की ऐसी रुचि और उत्साह देखकर लगता है कि हम आश्वस्त हो सकते हैं, हमारा भविष्य सही हाथों में हस्तांतरित होने जा रहा है । मैं, एक भारत-श्रेष्ठ भारत के संदर्भ में प्रकाशित हो रही इस लघु-पत्रिका के संपादक-समूह को बधाई एवं आभार ज्ञापित करती हूँ जिन्होनें विद्यार्थियों के प्रयासों को लोगों तक पहुंचाने का महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किया है।

Dear Readers When we began designtng this newsletter, little did we know that we would be embarking on a journey that would instantly connect us to our brethren in Manipur, 3000 kilometres from Bhopal. Pairing of an incredible state like Madhya Pradesh with The Jewel of India-Manipur; through the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme of the government of India, has been an insightful initiative; for it has led to the harmonious blending of two similar, yet distinct cultures. The wealth of geographical, cultural and historical insights we garnered along the way, when interacting with the the students and teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Chakpikarong, Manipur; has been nothing short of a revelation. The indelible impressions left on the young minds who are a part of this cultural exchange programme, is even more unfathomable. The saying that 'we in India, celebrate the commonality of our differences' has proven true. The editorial board would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who has been associated with the publication of this newsletter. ACTUALISING A DREAM How we cherish the true spirit of EBSB at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 Bhopal • Sanu Rajappan • PGT Economics & EBSB I/C

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, was adopted by KVS to celebrate the unity in diversity of our nation, and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditional bonds between the people of our country and promote the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement on rich heritage and culture, thus fostering a sense of common identity, various activities have been conducted in the Vidyalaya in 2022 in this regard. In the morning assembly, students present news and talks on Manipur, which is the paired state of Madhya Pradesh. The students have extensively participated in learning the language of Manipur by preparing posters on the Meitei language. Similarly at regular intervals, quiz was also conducted to upgrade the knowledge of students about the heritage, flora, fauna, rivers and national parks of Manipur . Theme based display board competition was conducted depicting the historical monuments, painting, dance, music, folk art and Handicraft of the paired state. Students were also exposed to learning to make hand-made toys class wise to appreciate the diversity of India. Apart from these, pledge on swachhata and avoiding single use plastic was also undertaken for promoting sustainable development

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Through My Eyes हमारा भारत देश विविधताओं का देश है। के न्द्रीय विद्यालय क्रमांक 3 भोपाल में, इस विविधिता को दर्शाने के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किये जाते हैं। भाषा संगम – एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत के पावन पर्व पर मणिपुरी भाषा संगम पर अनेकों प्रतियोगिताएँ एवं कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न हुए। जैसे मणिपुरी लोक संगीत, मणिपुरी लोक नृत्य, मणिपुरी में वार्तालाप, मणिपुरी भाषा का हिंदी में अनुवाद, मार्शल आर्ट प्रशिक्षण इत्यादि। हर घर तिरंगा – स्वतन्त्रता के अमृत महोत्सव के अन्तर्गत “हर घर तिरंगा” अभियान देश के नागरिकों को 13 अगस्त 2022 से 15 अगस्त 2022 के मध्य अपने घरों में राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने के लिए आग्रह करता है। इस अभियानने विद्यालय के छात्र-छात्राओं को अपने अपने घरों में तिरंगा ध्वज फहराने और राष्ट्र के प्रति अपना प्रेम और श्रद्धा प्रकट करने हेतु प्रेरित किया है। स्वतन्त्रता सेनानी – छात्र-छात्राओं को विद्यालय में विभिन्न अवसरों एवं कार्यक्रमों के द्वारा अनेकों देशभक्तों के विषय में रोचक प्रविधि से जानकारियाँ दी गई। नृत्य, नाटक एवं संगीत– नृत्य, नाटक एवं संगीत के माध्यम से विद्यालय में सांस्कृ तिक विरासत को संजोने, सीखने और उत्साहमय वातावरण निर्माण करके शिक्षा को सरल,सुगम और आनन्ददायक बनाया जाता है। अपनी संस्कृ ति, परम्पराओं, और इतिहास को अगली पीढ़ी को हस्तान्तरित करने के लिए एवं परस्पर प्रेम, सद्भाव, मैत्री को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विद्यालय में छात्रों को विभिन्न प्रकार के अवसर प्रदान किये जाते हैं। प्रार्थना सभा - प्रार्थना सभा में साहित्यिक, सांस्कृ तिक और क्रीड़ा से सम्बन्धित विभिन्न कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन होता है। छात्रों में शारीरिक, मानसिक, बौद्धिक, नैतिक, धार्मिक, सांस्कृ तिक, सामाजिक, चारित्रिक, एवं सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए अनेकों पाठ्यसहगामिनी क्रियाएँ आयोजित की जाती हैं। सभी शिक्षकशिक्षिकाओं के कु शल मार्गदर्शन में छात्र-छात्राएँ अत्यन्त हर्ष और उल्लास के साथ इन कार्यक्रमों में भाग ले रहे हैं।

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat involves a cluster of programmes which are organised in our Vidyalaya; be it in the form of virtual morning assembly, Bhasha Sangam, wherein the students learn the alphabets and sentences of our paired state-Manipur. We have also held cultural competitions in the form of folk songs and Dances from the state of Manipur. EBSB has been highly beneficial in imbibing culture, indigenous customs and tradition of our paired state. As a student, I have experienced personal growth by participating in these competitions; like increased self-confidence, improved public speaking skills and triumph over stage fear. Besides these I got to learn a plethora of things about the state of Manipur; the language, the cuisine, the varied geographical features and so much more. As I become enthusiastic about Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, I discover an array of fascinating and astonishing new facts about my nation. It has made me realise just how bountiful and culturally rich our country is. I am very thankful to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for pairing Kendriya Vidyalaya No.3 Bhopal with Kendriya Vidyalaya Chakpikarong, Manipur; for interacting with the students of this school was an enriching experience.
