Biography Series
Biography Series Kenyatta Cabinets
This is the first biographical publication on the nation’s leading politicians with emphasis on former presidents and the cabinet ministers who worked with them. The book focuses on Mzee Kenyatta’s life, Kenya’s journey into independence, the hallmarks of his 15-year era and his death. It also gives extensive biographical accounts of 38 cabinet ministers who served under Mzee Kenyatta from 1963 to 1978 and helped steer the newly independent Kenya into the nation it is today.
Moi Cabinets During his rule, the late President Moi loomed large in the lives of ordinary Kenyans, leaving a firm and unforgettable imprint on the country’s history. Wonderfully and beautifully narrated, The Moi Cabinets series bring to life the colourful characters around the late President as seen through his coterie of Cabinet ministers. The Moi Cabinets weave a tapestry of political intrigues, setbacks and triumphs and show how President Moi’s understanding of human weaknesses and habits proved right the words of the great philosopher and Nobel Laureate Bertrand Russel: “One of the most powerful of all our passions is the desire to be admired and respected.” 5

Biography Series
Biography Series Kibaki Cabinets
The story of retired President Kibaki’s Cabinets brings into sharp relief his leadership style that eschewed a in-your-face style of management. Kibaki regularly allowed his Cabinet and specialist technocrats to share the limelight. A story of economic reform and transformation interspersed with very tragic moments, the narration and clever titling makes the characters literally leap off the pages.

Kick off
As part of the Board’s efforts to discharge its mandate, KYEB has published a sector book on the story of Kenya football. This book represents the most comprehensive account of the highest and lowest moments of the game since football was introduced in Kenya in the 1920s. From Elijah Lidonde to Victor Wanyama, from Ali Kadjo to James Siang’a, from the highest days of the Gossage Cup to the lowest moments of failing to qualify for the Fifa World Cup, this is a story well told. 8 K E N YA Y E A R B O O K E D I TO R I A L B OA R D
