Endurance We endure by keeping our eyes on Jesus!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight

that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We doing this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding the shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside

God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you will not become weary and give up! -Hebrews 12:1-3(NLT)

Hosanna

” And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, shouted, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest”-Matthew 21:9. Hosanna (“Yasha”- Hebrew) meaning to cause or to bring about salvation. Hosanna was the shout of praise in recognition of Jesus as the Messiah as he entered into Jerusalem. Hosanna occurs approximately six times in the New Testament Bible. The Gospels-Matthew (21:9), Mark (11:9-10), and John (12:13) mention that the people called out “Hosanna” in the praise celebration during Jesus’ Triumphal Entry to Jerusalem during the week prior to Passover. As we approach the season of Passover and Easter, let us visualize the waving branches of palm trees and hear the shouts of praise and adoration as our Messiah sat upon the colt and entered Jerusalem. Praise to His Glory! -LL

PEAR TREE “SPRING TIPS” By Kimberly Kornblatt

Fruitful Blooms- Utilizing fruit as a floral accent results in a chic and inexpensive manner to display arrangements. For a zesty touch, slice a citrus fruit to line the inside of your glass vase, or just place it amongst the petals. For a porch and elegant addition, take a long vine of fresh grapes and insert the stem in the vase as if it were a flower. You can truly not mess up this hack! Fruit and flowers are a beautiful pairing, sure to elevate your spring style.

Rainbow Connection- Often, beginner flower arrangers struggle to match complimentary colors and construct appealing shapes. An easy way to match hues and form flowers is to use the rainbow! Choose flowers that represent each color, and put them in order across two wide glass vases. This trick will keep your arrangements looking professional and well rounded.

Silver Platter Pieces- Combine singular flowers in bud vases and place them on a silver tray or in front of a mirror. This will give your home a minimalistic, posh glow. This trick assures that each bloom gets a starring role.

Asymmetrical Arranging- Play with placement by introducing imbalance to your arrangement. Include hanging ivy, or a wandering branch to bring an appealing composition to your flowers. This is a great method to make a modern-looking arrangement. This style looks best on a fireplace mantle or high shelf.

Bringing the Garden Indoors- Spring gardens mean a lot of wild flowers and outdoor plants. To bring the vibrancy of the outdoors into your home, pick the flowers by clipping the stem at its base. Then, wash off any dirt and place them in a vase with fresh water. Make sure to put these buds in a bright room with sunlight, trim the stems, and change the water frequently. During the spring season, it is important to elevate the style in which we display our floral décor. There are many ways that YOU can bring unique, professional fashion into the flowers you keep in your home. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Flowers are beautiful because they are unique and imperfect. You truly cannot mess up blooms. Happy Spring!

National Volunteer Recognition Day

The Lady Life is a proud supporter of Civic Engagement. April 20, 2021 celebrates all volunteers. There are many needs and a great need for volunteers. Thank you for giving your time and dedication to those that are in need. This act of kindness pleases our Heavenly Father and your reward is great. No act of kindness is too small to make a difference. As an AmeriCorps alumni, I have experienced the joy of connecting with various communities. The Bible instructs us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

This includes helping them with their needs. In fact, President Biden recently signed into law the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021,” which will help in bringing communities together through civic engagement. If you’ve ever been in need, you can understand the value of loving assistance. Let’s continue to make a difference within our communities by sharing and caring. Kimberly Gladney, Lady Life Creator

Ladybird for Christ Mikayla Smith

A Leading Lady and a Change Agent within her community. She is a youth leader, singer, actress, and teacher. This multi-faceted chick is making things happen!

What does endurance mean to you? Endurance to me is definitely never giving up. A good example is when I first got my teaching job. I originally went in to teach K-1st grades but after a meeting I felt inspired to tackle the 4th-5th graders, forgetting how much of a challenge older kids can sometimes be. My endurance kicked in especially on those days when I just wanted to pull my hair out from the root☺. The challenging days are definitely motivation to endure and never give up. What is your greatest accomplishment and what part does endurance have in achieving this accomplishment? I hope this doesn't sound crazy, but one of my biggest accomplishments so far is me. Believing in yourself actually takes more endurance than you think. There were times I felt like giving up on me because everything around me seemed to be falling apart--family, friendships, relationships, etc. I had forgotten about me, and started giving up on myself. I remember when I turned 21 years old and how low I felt because I didn't feel "accomplished". When I started believing in myself, praying, and just surrounding myself with positive energy and people, everything seemed so much smaller; and believing in me became so much easier. What’s the most important lesson that you have learned about life? Do you share this with your students? Love. You can never go wrong with showing love. Sometimes love brings out the best in people. Yes, I teach my kids that it's important to love by telling them every day that I love them and by showing it in my actions. -LL

Meet Jaymie!

Jaymie’s Story, I am Jaymie Solomon. I have been happily married for 15 years, and have two amazing kiddos. I have always been passionate about cooking, baking and eating. Unfortunately, I have had issues with my weight since my teenage years. I significantly fluctuated in body weight my whole life. As I approached 40, right after the birth of my daughter, I found that diets just did not work for me anymore. No wonder the word diet has the word “die” in it. My experience has been that diets are not the best option for me. I struggled with chronic fatigue, bloating, weight gain, and had basically hit rock bottom. Through lots of learning, experimentation, some supplements, and guidance, I managed to not only lose 4 jean sizes, but also to become the healthiest, happiest version of myself in my 40s!!! At 46, I feel better than I did in my 20s! My journey naturally led me to become a health coach. I help people feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. It is with my support and accountability that my clients regain control over their lives, and wake up feeling like winners every day. I have adopted the holistic approach, as I believe that healing is most effective when the person is seen as a whole. Areas such as spirituality, career, exercise, and relationships are just as important as the food we eat. My focus has always been on the whole self. It is important to not self-shame and feel guilty about how you look or feel. Stop right now and love your body. Put it on the pedestal it deserves. You are “enough.” Just as you are! You are worthy, and lively and meant to succeed. You are everything to those around you. Now it’s time to start doing something for yourself. Not just any “something,” but something revolutionary. Take charge of your health, clear out the mental clutter, and embrace the power of your potential. Be proud of how you look in that little black dress and never dread another birthday. Transform your life the way I transformed mine. The first step is refining your nutrition so you can be healthy in body, which leads to practices that will keep you mentally and emotionally strong.

FITNESS & HEALTHY LIFESTYLE BriLee Hilderbrand, ISSA CFT Set Realistic Goals

Strength Training-Compound Moves

Often times as a trainer I see many people set unrealistic goals, and as soon as they don’t obtain it, they quickly fall off and never try again. By setting small reachable goals you’re setting yourself up for rewards. Small goals turn into BIG results! Simple goals like focusing two weeks on drinking water and ditching the cokes and high sugar drinks. Or performing 10 pushups without modification. Even being able to perform a pull up is a realistic goal. I promise these are very rewarding goals that will make big results, and impacts in your overall fitness.

As a certified fitness trainer and with a personal weight loss of 70lbs myself, I cannot stress the importance of lifting weights! The benefits of strength training does not only build lean muscle, but helps speed up your metabolism and burns more calories even at rest. If you can, hire a Personal Trainer to show you the importance of warm ups, proper form, and breathing techniques. Also what to do for soreness, and most importantly compound movements like the squat, chest press and deadlift. Compound movements in weight training works the full body and major muscle groups. Do not be afraid to pick up dumbbells and barbells. This is a must to get the full benefits of fitness.

Detox/Nutrition Do not feel that you have to run out and buy detox supplements, or detox shakes and limit your calorie intake to 1200 calories or below! Oftentimes people think this is the route to take; in reality it is not. Did you know that our body can detox on its own? Yep, thank God for our Liver right? He made us the way we are for a reason! Think about it like this, changing our nutrition intake to not being about a diet, but about a lifestyle. What if you replaced the thinking of a diet and instead replace it with being more along the lines of eating to fuel your body, and to feel good? First, it takes off the stress of setting unrealistic expectations of weight loss. Secondly, it moves your thinking in the area of doing what your body wants internally, which will then show externally! Intstagram-@bjcoaching

Stretching and Sleep Make time to stretch at the end of every workout you do. Take 3 deep breathes in each stretch you hold. Stretching prevents injury, aids in recovery, prevents soreness and helps build muscle. Aim to get around 8 hours of sleep a night. Life is hard and demanding but try your best! Remember sleep is the highly most important thing you can do for your overall fitness program. It speeds recovery, and helps with stress. Overall, learn to listen to your body. Tuning into yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally is key to success within fitness and your overall healthy lifestyle goals.

Lady Cassandra A. Robinson Interview Q1- Considering the events of 2020, what is the Holy Spirit uttering to you in regards to 2021? During 2020, many grew weary in well doing. Many pushed the pause button and became complacent with life. This 2020 Pandemic shook the nation. This was a first for so many of us. Even for myself, this isn’t anything that I’ve ever been through in my entire life, but having a foundation of Apostolic Faith was enough to propel me to move forward. Standing on the word of God and knowing without a doubt that victory will be at the end of all of this; and God alone will get all the glory and the honor. With that said, it’s time for us to take the breaks off and get moving. It’s time for us to get back on our assignments. It’s time for us to plug in again and help impact and affect this nation. Having the experience of quarantine in February of this year, I know without a doubt that there are so many hurting, depressed and sad people that need our Godly wisdom and encouragement. It’s time for us as WOG (Women of God) to tap into the creativity that has been afforded to us and create our virtual pulpits to save this hurting nation. Philippians 3:13-14 states: 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (KJV). Don’t allow the enemy to choke your progress with regrets. Any assignments that weren’t started or completed in 2020, let’s make today a new day and start now. We have time to be effective for Jesus!

Q2- How can 1st Ladies be better equipped this year? As First Ladies, we have to start thinking outside the box. What is God saying to you? I know without a doubt God is speaking. Are we listening? If God allows a Pandemic, He already has the solutions bottled up just for us. We have to be willing to tap into the miracle working power of Jesus by gazing in the unseen realm of the spirit and not just politely getting our stuff back but violently snatching ALL of our stuff back from the enemy camp. Dare to be different. Dare to step out in the deep waters. Know with confidence that if you speak, God will speak through you. For every step you take, God is leading the way. Trust God through the journey.

Q3- In the area of finances, what wisdom keys can you share regarding building a church ministry? In order to build a church ministry, you must be a giver. I have the gift of giving and will give my last for the Kingdom of God. Ephesians 6:8 reads… Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free (KJV). My husband and I give. Once we embraced the principle of sowing and reaping, we made it an integral part of our personal life, family life, and our church life. Sowing Seeds really does produce harvest. It

opens the door for Grace, Mercy and Favor to abound. Our ministry sows seeds to our covering. We honor God first. During the 2020 Pandemic, even when we were hosting our weekly services virtually, our ministry did not miss a beat on any of our financial obligations. We never felt rushed or pressured to jeopardize the health and safety of others just to get finances. God met and continues to meet every single need. We are currently back in services with an average attendance of under 50 members weekly and again, God continues to meet our needs. The key to finances in ministry is sowing seeds, being good stewards and standing on the word of God. God truly multiplies seeds sown and the harvest produced is mind blowing.

Q4- Being a Pastor’s wife, how important is it to manage your daily emotions according to biblical standards during the challenging seasons in life? During these challenging seasons in life, so many are looking to us for strength. If we are mentally and physically healthy, we can nurture others out of our overflow. If we are not, this would create a deficit for us and can cause us to be emotionally unstable. We as WOG (Women of God) have to find the tools in our Spiritual tool boxes to keep ourselves balanced. Proverbs 31:17 states: She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms (KJV). Gird up your loins with the word of God. Find outlets and provide balance in your life. Since we are always pouring out to others, we have to find ways to refuel and refresh ourselves. Find and value your quiet time. This is your time with you, your space, and Jesus. Turn off the noise that creates distractions to your life. Re- evaluate your inner circle. Do you have toxic people in your life? If you do, remove them immediately. Embrace each day with expectancy that something good is going to happen in your life each day. Be Positive. Be Optimistic. Be Grateful for ALL the little things in your life. Decide to be happy and in control of your emotions. Allow God to rule and reign over your mind, every thought and your entire life. It’s in each of us to be in control of our emotions, so decide to take the bull by the horns and ride him to victory in Jesus Name.

Q5- Impart in regards to the word “destiny” and what this word means in the lives of Pastor’s Wives. Destiny is simply fulfilling God’s purpose in your life. Am I making a difference? Am I making Impact? Am I fulfilling Jeremiah 29:11 for my life? Happiness abounds when we are fulfilling destiny. Be Destiny minded and driven today for the Kingdom of God and watch us as Powerful First Ladies turn this world upside down so that Jesus gets all the glory and the honor. Let’s shake this Nation so again we can experience signs, wonders, and miracles. We as WOG (Women of God) are equipped for this Journey, so let us release the brakes and make an impact for Jesus. Together as believers, we can make impact in Jesus Name. We are all AWESOME and Powerful WOG. When we link our faith and pray, we can expect change. When women pray, change is guaranteed to happen. Our faith moves mountains and our prayers really do change things. Let’s continue to be change agents for Jesus. Let us continue to be Destiny driven and Let’s Declare War on the Devil’s war and together we all win in Jesus Name….AMEN!! christapostoliclifechurch.org
