What is the job of Maasai people? They are nomadic people who protect and herd the cattle, women are in charge of milking the cattle and looking after the home and children.

How are Maasai homes built? The huts are circular shaped. The first step is to build the frame which is done by fixing the timber poles into the ground and holding it with lattice. Then the frame is plastered with a mixture of water, mud, cow dung and human urine.

the roof is thatched and made of dry straws. There are two beds one for the parents and the one for the kids. There is one fire stove to cook food.

Why are these homes homes built this way? (Causation) Maasai people build temporary homes because they do not have enough money to buy a modern houses and they use the materials, available near by and free of cost.

They build these homes as they keep on changing their locations in search of food and water.
