To be a Writer Emily
Writer Writers jobs vary from writing children’s books to adult novels, there are also of course nonfiction writers who write about recent news to report. The type of career that I’m targeting more for is the job of a screenwriter, specifically for movies and tv shows. Screen writers are able to come up with their own stories, characters, and dialogue. Or they can ask for permission to use another’s story and edit however they choose. Screenwriter take the story and put into a movie format with stage directions, dialogue with specific directions such as attitude and body motions.
8% The job outlook for writers is expected to grow eight percent from 2016 to 2026, this apparently is the speed of average job growth rates. However if the career rate did begin to decline, I would try to move into the career of a director, who at the moment have a growth rate of twelve percent.

A writer is given the opportunity to work from home in most cases, since we do now have technology to reach people through email. As mentioned earlier there isn’t just one type of writer, there are different routes you can take as a writer
Cons: ● ● ●
It is a competitive career and it may take a writer a while to get noticed. Most writers still juggle between part time jobs to keep a sort of income. It takes a while to come up with a good story to build off of, especially with writer's block. It’s a long process.

● Bachelor Degree for a full time writer ● Experience can be earned through non profit writing ex; school newspapers. ● Knowledge of computer editing, coding, and software engineering is preferred.

Why I Chose This Career
I chose this specific career because I have the right education for it, I have already started on the career by taking needed classes at higher levels. A career in movies has always fascinated me, but I don’t think I would fit as an actor, I would rather work behind the scenes and help the vision come to life.
