These GDM series valve connectors have been developed especially for use in machine building and plant engineering. Because they fulfill all
relevant international standards, they can be used anywhere in the world – a major plus in the age of globalization. The valve connectors ensure both a reliable power supply and secure data communication. The availability of automation components such as magnetic valves, pressure transducers, temperature sensors or flow monitors is improved significantly as a result, and so is the productivity of the machines and systems. When it comes to precisely controlling valves, the GDM series valve connectors also enable reliable solutions in many industries outside of machine building and plant engineering. Thanks to electronic inserts with more than 20 different protective circuits and/or LEDs for displaying the operating status, they offer optimum flexibility in terms of the choice of variants and thus ensure maximum functional reliability and ease of maintenance in practically every application. The valve connectors can even withstand extreme stresses caused by the harshest environmental conditions.
New GDM Series Type B Valve Connectors
The field-attachable valve connectors in the GDM series, which are available in Type B, can be equipped with electronic inserts with more than 20 different protective circuits and/or LEDs to visualize the operating status. Depending on the protective circuitry, the rated voltage ranges from 12 to 250 V AC/V DC and the rated current amounts to between 1 and 10 A with electronic inserts, and 16 A without. The body of the valve connectors, which is equipped with two poles and safety contact, is made from polyamide (PA) and is either black or transparent. Cable diameters of between 4.5 and 10.0 mm with a cross-section of up to 1.5 mm2 can be used. Protection rating IP65/67 and – optionally – IP68, a maximum operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C (standard -40°C to +125°C, with electronic insert -40°C to +90°C), high shock and vibration resistance, as well as a high degree of resistance to numerous chemicals and UV light goes without saying. Strain relief in accordance with UL 2238 protects the connection. Customer-specific versions of the GDM valve connectors are also available on request. Benefits at a Glance
