ACCOUNTING MANAGER Becker Ag Sales is a mid-sized grain handling, building erection and grain service construction company. We are looking for an accounting manager that will oversee our accrual-based accounting system, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, human resources, reports, and the overall confidentially of the company. This position also assists in answering phones, waiting on customers, and working with sales, service manager and other employees. Essential Duties: Use an accrual-based accounting system • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable • Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations • Manage general ledger accounts, including job cost for all projects • Manage accounting staff • Process payroll • Develop and maintain all internal controls and financial policies and procedures • Prepare year-end financial statements and tax documents for CPA • Manage human resources, keeping employees informed about policies and procedures Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (half hour lunch break) Fall harvest schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturday 8am-TBD (Typically lasts 3-6 weeks with dates varying year-to-year) Skills/Abilities: Accrual-based accounting • Organized and a self-starter Must be a team player • Quality communication skills • Willingness to ask questions • Ability to multi-task and be efficient in your daily duties Experience: Accrual-based accounting • Construction industry preferred, but not required • Accounting degree preferred • Quick Books experience • Minimum of 5 years accounting/ financial experience • Experience in Microsoft Office and Excel Reports to: Owners of Becker Ag Sales Give me a call at 515-379-1360 or email me at [email protected]
