“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood”- Fred Rogers Our world is full of shapes. Basic shapes and colors impact children. Understanding shapes enable students to be more in tune to the world around them and see the connections between objects. They try to understand their surroundings by looking at the different objects around them. Kindergarteners enjoyed ‘Shape Activity’ in the month of May. The curriculum is planned to enable the children to experiment with wide range of activities. Adarsh World School family has stood strong in the tough times of morbidity and distress. This year, the Covid-19 pandemic has led to prolonged school closures with millions of children forced to stay home. The closure has led to learning losses far greater than the usual so the challenge today is to convert the demographic disadvantage to a demographic advantage by providing more educational facilities. Our school is committed to the cause of inclusive education. Our school has achieved it through various training programs and workshops. Our students have shown their talents in various co–curricular activities and competitions via virtual platform. They even got engaged in online teaching, tests, competitions, festivities, special day celebrations, PTM’s and many more activities. Parents are epitome of love and affection. A parent’s role and impact on student success is both critical and apparent during online learning. They motivated and encouraged their wards for learning in absence of their teachers and regular school. I want to say that online teaching we envision today, gives thoughtful, reflective and engaged opportunities to the students that resemble workshops, studios, galleries, laboratories and news room. The students feel supported in taking risk and thinking independently. They are engaged in initiating and assessing ideas and products, developing a disciplined respect for their own work and work of others. As educators and parents, let’s make this world a better place for our children and teach them to be agents of change for a better tomorrow.

Wishing you the very best for you and your children!
