Dear Fellow Members: We are looking forward to this year’s pool season! We have many new Golf, Sports and Pool members, and ask that you review the below information on pool hours, rules and guidelines. Pool Hours The pool will be open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The pool will be open on the weekends until June 25, 2022, at Noon – 7pm on weekdays and which time the pool will be open daily. Pool hours will be as follows: 11 am – 7 pm on weekends Monday through Friday 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday / Sunday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. Pool Parking Please note that there is no pool parking at the putting green or at the loading/unloading areas. All members and guests must park in the rear parking lot. Please drive carefully around the clubhouse and parking lot. When walking from the parking lot to the pool, please stay to the right in the designated walking lane so that automobile traffic may pass safely. Rules and Guidelines The Rules and Guidelines for pool use are posted at the pool entrance area. All members and guests must observe the instructions and orders of the lifeguards in and around the pool. We must continue to follow the Club’s COVID-19 Pool Operation Prevent Plan until notified otherwise, and therefore we will continue to have a COVID-19 Ambassador at the pool conducting temperature checks, signing in members for contact tracing purposes, and will also require execution of a COVID-19 waiver for all adults, as set forth below. Food and Beverage Food and beverage will be available at the shack below the pool deck. At this time, hours of operation are anticipated to be 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends (with the exception of June 4 during the Member-Guest tournament), and 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Tuesday through Friday when the pool is open. Members may also order from the inside bar and grill room menus. Please note that there is no food or beverage available on Monday as the Clubhouse is closed, but you are welcome to bring your own food and beverage on Mondays. Please utilize appropriate containers as no glassware is ever permitted in or around the pool area. Guests Guests are permitted at the pool. Guest fees are $10 per person and will be billed to your member account. Please sign in your guests on the sign-in sheet and write the names of each of your guests and any children. Guests are expected to comply with all of the pool’s Rules and Guidelines. Music and Cigar Smoking At all times, we ask that members and their guests be considerate of fellow members and guests at the pool. Music is permitted as long as it is neither loud nor offensive. Cigar smoking is permitted at times when the pool is not busy, and only in the back corners closest to the putting green so that it does not encroach on any individual at the pool. When there are children near the kiddie pool, it is only permitted in the back corner closest to the 16th tee box. It is the Club’s preference that cigar smoking take place later in the afternoons when there is substantially less pool traffic. Lifeguards are given the discretion to ask members to not smoke. Swim Lessons Private Swim Lessons are available, please schedule with the lifeguards at the pool. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or another Board member. Eric Rasch For the Board of Trustees

BOARD OF TRUSTEES President

Chris Venditti Vice President

Jim MacDonald Secretary & Technology Committee Chairperson

John Blackmore May is an extremely busy time for course maintenance. Along with regular Treasurer mowing and course set, up we will be making fertilizer, topdressing, seed, and spray Robert Motzel applications. Broadleaf weed applications have already ~~~~ been applied and crabgrass control and fertilization of tees and fairways will begin in early May. Greens aerification John Atanasio Assistant Golf was postponed one week due to heavy frost on April 18th th Chairperson and two inches of rain on April 19 . Since we were not able to aerate the greens, we completely rebuilt the left fairway Tom Carbonaro Golf Chairperson bunker on 6 and the two fairway bunkers on 9 that Hurricane Ida Dan Hogan Facilities & Maintenance ruined. Our crew removed all of the Chairperson dirty sand, drainage stone and Louis E. Lefevre drainage pipe and replaced it with Capital Chairperson & all new sand, stone, and pipe Personnel Chairperson (pictures). Douglas M. Peters We like to send some Membership Chair and reminders about course care just to Web Site Development refresh everyone’s memories from Chairperson time to time. The USGA has put an informative video Eric Rasch together on the proper use of electric golf carts and pull Pool ~ Tennis Liaison carts Roger P. Schlobohm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2PKDVsHqiE). Greens Chairperson th Electric carts are often observed parked to the front right of the 15 green for Matthew D. Stockwell example. This area is narrow and a spot that is in a critical playing area, meaning Legal, Food & Beverage that golf balls often end up in this spot. Adding traffic to an area that is restricted Chairperson & between the bunker and the trees increases the stress and compaction to the turf, Social Chairperson which will result in poor turf conditions and greater chances of a poor lie. We would like to have carts return to the cart path along the left side of the fairway and green. The path wraps around the green providing the golfers with multiple entry and exit points. This allows for traffic to be distributed in a large area, which will alleviate pressure on the turf and allow the turf to provide better lies for the golfer. As always, please remember to repair all ball marks and divots properly. Sincerely,

Patrick Dolan, Golf Course Superintendent
