Fully Customizable, PCProgrammable LED Signal Tower — Now With Ethernet Connectivity The LA6 Series by PATLITE is a programmable, customizable signal tower that consists of the discrete type LA6 and the Ethernet type LA6-POE. Both types are designed to display up to 21 colors, 11 alarms, animated patterns (using the internal timer function), and endless flash rate settings to fit users’ unique signaling needs. PenRad Streamlines High-Risk Clinics, Facilitates Genetic Testing Genetic testing of patients to determine their risk of developing various cancers — and determining which patients are at elevated risk of developing breast cancer specifically — is here to stay, and it has never been easier for women’s imaging centers to implement. High-Risk Screening and Genetic Testing at a PenRad Enabled Women’s Imaging Center Two weeks prior to a patient’s appointment, the patient automatically receives an email appointment reminder which includes a web link for pre-appointment check-in. This link allows the patient to update their medical history including risk factors, insurance information, and more. Not only does this give patients ample time to be thorough in their answers, but it also significantly decreases wait time and time spent with technologists in the pre-exam. What’s more, when the technologist opens the patient record, eligibility for genetic testing and risk status will be pre-calculated and flagged in PenRad. Should the patient decide to opt in for genetic testing, PenRad’s partnerships with Myriad Genetics and Natera have created an interface with PenRad to facilitate direct ordering of the genetic exam and provide genetic counselors with important information required during the

Both genetic testing companies offer an end-to-end service which includes specimen collection, testing, genetic counseling, guidance on insurance, and reimbursement support for patients. This removes a significant burden which would otherwise fall to the imaging center and makes the entire process of “genetic testing as a value-added component to a high-risk imaging program,” a straightforward undertaking. Screening for patients at high risk of developing breast cancer and offering genetic testing is a significant value-added service for the captive mammography screening audience. Health Care Worker Burnout So Severe That Many Want to Quit

A fast-moving, ever-changing global pandemic requires responses that are equally quick and just as adaptive. Case in point: Vyaire’s medical affairs team has revamped its strategies and tactics while sticking to its overall mission of providing timely, quality education to health care professionals treating COVID-19 patients and other breathing needs worldwide. This study illustrates that clinical support staff, tasked with the cumbersome, repetitive work that patient coordination and communication often require, also suffer from health care worker burnout. Eighty-two percent of support staff report frustration with communicating and coordinating with patients with almost half (49%) saying COVID-19 has made the problem worse. Another issue the study raises is that

According to the study, many support staff believe the patient communication problem — and their resulting burnout — is hurting patient care.
