Note: The battery may not be fully charged but can be used. For best results, allow your battery to fully charge, then calibrate the battery before using the T8700. After start up see “Managing Power” in the T8700 User’s Guide on the T8700 desktop for more information.

Screen Adjustment . . . Use the following key combinations to make quick adjustments to the viewing area:

Digitizer & Touch Panel Calibration . . .

The touch panel is a thin membrane on the top of the LCD that responds to pressure from your stylus or finger and moves the cursor on the screen. If you notice the stylus tip or finger touch-point does not match the cursor on the screen - you should calibrate the digitizer and the touch panel. Stylus Note: See the T8700 xTablet User’s Guide for more information

Touch Panel (Finger or Stylus) On the T8700 desktop, to calibrate touch panel; Using Fn+0 verify tablet is in TouchScreen Mode. Tap (Start) > Control Panel (Classic View) > TouchSet Utility > Calibration > (Select desired options) Calibrate > (Touch crosshairs) > Close

Digitizer (Stylus) On the T8700 desktop, to calibrate digitizer; Using Fn+0 verify tablet is in Digitizer Mode.

Check Battery Power . . .

Recharging the Battery . . .

Caution: During long term storage, you must recharge the battery to its full capacity at least every three weeks or you damage the battery. Start from the original MobileDemand shipment date or from the date when you put the T8700 into long-term storage.

Note: The T8700 can run on a fully-charged Li-Ion battery for about six and one half hours depending on power management settings and radio activation.
