Dear Parent/Guardian, My name is John Devine. I am the new Transition Year Coordinator at St Paul’s. You’re all very welcome on your sons TY journey this year. Building on the success of my predecessor, I’m delighted to continue the good work and help grow TY in to the inclusive, productive and maturing year that your son will undertake. I have a strong vision for TY as you will see in this prospectus. I’ll bring you through our aims, our goals and look forward to taking this invaluable TY journey with your son this year. TY is a one-year programme that gives an opportunity to our students to explore new activities, career paths and areas of learning.

'At St Paul's we aim to promote maturity within our students by promoting self-directed learning and developing self confidence'.

Work Experience is just before the Christmas break for 2 weeks.

Our hope is that students put thought and time into choosing work experience as it can really enhance the TY experience

Students must submit details of their placement to our office.

Improved organisational, colaborative and self management skills

Certification is based on; Student engagement Attendance, Class work, Work exp. feedback & Assessment results.

We use MS Teams for lots of our class work and academic exercises.

The TY charge of €100 is due for payment at the start of the school year.

Different events cost different amounts and participation, although encouraged, is entirely up to students & guardians.

All Payments can be made through Easy payments on our school website
