A year ago a global health crisis arose, and many people suffer in this pandemic until now. My family and I tried our best to stay home and keep away from other people. Doing so, would limit interaction with other people who may spread the virus that cause a kind of flu-like disease.

There were fun and enjoyable moments we have as a family at home. My brother and I study from home, while my parents do their work from there as well. Then an unexpected conflict happened. My brother took my notebook and wrote something on it that made me so angry. I told him that he shouldn’t vandalize anything that doesn't belong to him. We had a big fight! We started to scream and say negative things to each other. I told him to stop, but he wouldn’t.

Moments later, our aunt heard us shouting at each other. It was then reported to our mom. She asked who started the fight, why my brother did it and why I fought back to him and made us retell all the details of the fight. That’s my mom. When she investigates, she makes sure she knew everything before she gives her verdict! That’s what I like about her, too! Discussing the experience with our mom made us realize the cause of the problem.

She also made us understand that what we did to each other was a kind of violence. Theo and I cried a river, as we realize our mistakes! But despite this, we knew that we needed to forgive each other so that our love and support for each other would not come to an end. At the end of my mom’s discussion, she told us to stop letting it happen again. Small fights are normal, but as loving brother and sister, we have to learn to control our anger, as well.

We forgave each other. We made an impenetrable bond up to now. I showed Theo extra love and made sure that I care of him when he would need any help.

Days later, I told him, “ Thank you for being my brother. “, and he said the same thing to me as his sister. I am so grateful for him to be by my side to support me. I wouldn’t exchange him for anything in this world! I did acts of kindness for him and my family from time to time to thank them for being my family, my brother, and my guidance in my life. For whatever happens in the world, it is your family that you should always stand by with!
