For my final explorative piece on propaganda, I designed a jacket using the typical imagery and designs we associate with recognizably radical propaganda designs and applied these to a modern American context. Propaganda is contained in everything we view and consume, especially in 21st century America, even though it may not look like the bold wartime posters we’ve come to recognize it as. Whether it’s through advertising, social media, biased news reports, or what we learn in our history books, we consume hidden propaganda every day.
