overview XT2® Technology - BRANDING AND APPLICATION GUIDELINES This is a resource and reference tool for licensed XT2® brand partners. It is designed to help licensees understand how to build product to the correct XT2® specification and leverage the inherent value of the brand by following the approved usage standards. The purpose of this guide is to explain and demonstrate: • Branding requirements and options for on-garment/on-product placement. • Acceptable usage of the XT2® logo in promotional materials. • Key copy points and acceptable claims for XT2® Technology. • The added value imparted to a product made with XT2® Technology. • Following these guidelines will ensure the performance benefits of the product and generate greater consumer awareness to maximize the sale of products made with XT2® Technology. • Successful implementation requires support from many different departments within an organization.

licensing FAQs WHO NEEDS A LICENSE AGREEMENT? Any company wishing to manufacture a product utilizing XT2® Technology in its construction or any company wanting to market and sell a product using XT2® Technology is required to have a License Agreement that is current and in good standing. WHAT IS AN XT2® LICENSE AGREEMENT? A License Agreement outlines what XT2® products a company is licensed to make or sell, for what length of time and in what markets. A License Agreement also allows our partners to utilize the XT2® trademarks and certain other trademarks belonging to Noble Biomaterials, Inc. as more particularly described in the License Agreement. Speak with a Noble Biomaterials, Inc. Account Manager to determine which one is relevant for your business model. Prior to signing a License Agreement, a company must have a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) in place. The NDA ensures that all conversations regarding XT2® usage, product development and market launch are kept strictly confidential between both companies. The standardized NDA offers confidentiality benefit for both companies. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING AN XT2® LICENSE AGREEMENT? The product certification requirements of the License Agreement guarantee that a product will deliver the performance promise of the XT2® brand. It ensures that the consumer has a consistent and positive experience in anything made with XT2®. Successful licensing means that the consumer recognizes the addition of the XT2® Technology as something that adds significant value to the product and its performance. The agreement also supports the correct branding of XT2® technology in the marketplace so that the benefits are clearly recognized and understood by the end user. ONCE A LICENSE AGREEMENT IS IN PLACE Fabrics must be developed and certified with assistance from the Noble Biomaterials Product Team. All products must be performance tested and certified by Noble Biomaterials, Inc. prior to marketing and selling. It is important to factor this certification process into the development timeline so that products do not advance too far into the process, jeopardizing corrective changes. The License Agreement also outlines terms for product labeling, communications and technology fee. These are all elements that should be considered at the start of the product development and costing process.

if you are in product development NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (NDA): A mutual NDA is needed prior to the first meeting. This document protects both companies and permits a free exchange of information. LICENSE AGREEMENT: To use XT2® Technology in developing a product, a License Agreement must first be signed between companies. This is the first step and outlines what products and product categories can be developed, and in what sales territories they can be sold. TECHNOLOGY FEE: The License Agreement details the arrangements agreed to by both parties. The Account Manager makes sure that the payments are made in accordance with the terms of the Agreement. PRODUCT CERTIFICATION PROCESS: To ensure XT2® specification compliance, both product and fabric must be certified following these steps: 1. Submit product design sketches to confirm correct placement of the technology to Testing ([email protected]) and cc the Account Manager 2. Request that the mill submit fabric samples with a Fabric Certification Form (FCT 301) for fabric certification to the Testing Office in Scranton. This must be done prior to production. 3. Submit a minimum of two (2) physical product samples with the Product Certification Form (PCT 302) to Testing and cc the Account Manager. The Fabric Certification Approval number must be included on this form. These samples should also have the necessary ongarment branding materials. BRAND IDENTIFICATION: XT2® collateral materials must be attached to all products, from sales samples to final production. Numerous branding attachments are available for use. Include XT2® branding materials in all product specifications and order using form BCO 104. Allow 7-14 business days for receipt of order. Email [email protected]

if you are in sourcing Fabric must be sourced from a mill that is licensed to manufacture XT2® fabrics. To identify a Licensed Mill, contact an Account Manager. Any non-licensed mill must be licensed prior to sourcing.
if you are in marketing XT2® requires specific trademark usage requirements. The marketing team should follow these guidelines in developing collateral, sales materials, custom hangtags, etc. The copy points and claims must be correctly stated and approved. Marketing support is available to assist in the development of these materials. Please incorporate 5 to 10 business days into your planning for Noble approval. Email [email protected]
if you are in legal Legal reviews the License Agreement terms. Legal is also responsible for ensuring the confidentiality terms remain in effect during and after the term of the License Agreement. The Agreement has standard representations and warranties, notice provisions, restrictions on assignments and other standard legalese ensuring Agreement enforceability for both parties.
if you are in accounting If the License Agreement stipulates that the brand manufacturer pays the technology fee, Accounts Payable is responsible for making these payments as specified. COLOR SPECIFICATIONS We have provided links for process color logos and PMS color match logos. For simplicity and now widespread digital ondemand printing, the default should be process color.
CLEAR SPACE REQUIREMENTS In every signature application there is a required minimum clear space around the signature. The clear space is equal to the height of the grey “X”, which remains constant in proportion at 25% of the height of the logo, as indicated in the diagram.
If there is a question on color matching, we have provided the PMS color match for reference.

How to correctly use the XT2® logo and incorporate it into design elements. LOGO INCORPORATION The XT2® logo should appear on the front face or opening page of the collateral, hangtag, etc. in which it appears. The presentation should clearly indicate that XT2® is the brand name ingredient Technology used. The logo should be notably featured in the overall appearance and in close proximity to the category name, if any, given to products made with XT2®. SIGNATURES The XT2® logo has been created so that the XT and the 2 are proportioned and balanced. Never redraw, replace or modify the lettering in any way or rearrange the relationship between the XT and 2 components. REGISTERED TRADEMARK/COPYRIGHT LEGEND The XT2® name and logo are registered trademarks of Noble Fiber Technologies, LLC. In all instances the “®” must appear exactly as shown. All printed material must include the following statement: XT2® is a registered trademark of Noble Fiber Technologies, LLC. COPY REFERENCE When the XT2® name appears in text or copy, it must always appear in all capital letters and with the “®” registration symbol at the end of the name. When the tag line, “PLAY MORE. STINK LESS™” is used, each word must appear capitalized and the registration mark must also appear at the end of this tag line. The logo and tag line, when used together, should be separated by a hyphen. They would correctly appear in text as this:

When possible, use the complete descriptor in the first instance of appearance in the descriptive copy about the technology. An example copy reference might read: “This product features XT2® - PLAY MORE. STINK LESS.™ and has the benefits of…” In every instance thereafter, the XT2® name can appear alone.

Use the complete brand mention in the first instance of appearance in the descriptive copy about the technology. An example copy reference might read: “This product features XT2® - Anti-Odor Technology™ and has the benefits of…” In every instance thereafter, the XT2® name can appear alone. COPY/COLLATERAL APPROVAL As part of the licensing agreement, all copy and collateral must be submitted to the Marketing Department for review and approval. This submission ensures that all claims are accurate and also allows for assistance in developing a relevant benefit story. Please incorporate 10-14 business days in your existing process to be submitted to Noble copy review.
