State-of-the-art technology for top performance. UV radiation and molecules Self-tinting lenses contain molecules that react to UV rays. When exposed to UV rays, these molecules are activated, thus darkening the lens. The more intense the UV rays, the darker the lenses become stronger & UV rays will consequently darken lenses more. Self-tinting lenses, therefore adjust automatically to changing light conditions. And of course, whether the lenses are clear or dark, ZEISS PhotoFusion provides full UV protection when exposed to UV and also reduces the transmission of blue light by at least 20% indoors and close to 90%(1) when activated.

ZEISS Polarised Lenses Who hasn’t experienced the glare of reflected sunlight on wet or shiny surfaces? This glare can have a negative impact on our vision, particularly while driving. It’s a good thing that an effective remedy is available: ZEISS Polarised Lenses with polarisation filter reliably counteract glare. Polarised light reflections can lead to disturbing glare. This is effectively filtered by polarising lenses from ZEISS. Vertical micro-mesh structures eliminate the horizontally oscillating element of light which is responsible for a great deal of glare. A further key advantage is more sharply focussed vision. Contours become clearer; vision in bright sunlight is perceived as considerably more relaxing and less fatiguing.
