It was night time but Meg the Mouse couldn't sleep. She sat on the floor, thinking!

"Tell me what's bothering you. I may be of some help", mom suggested. "Why do you love me mom? What is it that I have? questioned Meg.

"I trouble you and don't listen to you; I don't eat my food," said Meg sadly.

"You are a part of me Meg" said mumma. "I will always love you".

Meg wasn't convinced.

"Why don't you go out and ask other friends of yours? You may find your answer!" mom said. Matilda smiled gently. She wanted Meg to see her own qualities.

As mother left the room, Meg decided to do what her mother had asked.

That night, it was difficult for Meg to sleep. She turned and twisted on her bed.

She desperately waited for the sun to rise..

The very next day Meg got up and jumped into her bath tub to get ready.

"She didn't want to waste any time and planned to head straight for the forest where her friends lived.

She got dressed in her lovely blue polka frock, bid goodbye to her mom and set off to find herself.

"Oh my! I haven't told any of my friends that I would be visiting them. I hope they are home" Meg said to herself.

She carried on till she reached the first friend's house. Her heart skipped a beat as she knocked the door.

"Hi Danny! How are you?" said Meg.

"Oh wow! It's so nice to see you on this side of the forest Meg. What brings you here? Danny questions her.
