a message for specialist organisations this may be a normal day at work for you but it’s a big day in my life. the look on your face & the tone of your voice can change my entire view of the world. remember, I’m not usually this nervous. I am here because I trust you. I may look like I’m scrolling on my phone, but I can hear your conversations in Reception. I’ve never been here before & I’m not sure what happens next. I may be quietly sitting, but some kind words of reassurance would be helpful. I don’t speak your language well. what does that term mean? I may only be here for an hour a week, but I’ll remember you the rest of my life.
