Aurora and Scottish Power. Water Infrastructure We have gained extensive expertise in the development, refurbishment and maintenance of water infrastructure. Our joint venture with GMC Utilities Group was appointed by Irish Water to install 430,000 water meters, as well as automated meter reading (AMR), for two-thirds of the homes in Ireland during the meter roll-out programme. Civil Engineering For over 30 years, our team has established strong working relationships with the largest local authorities to help develop and maintain infrastructure in Ireland. Works include road and traffic improvements, junction upgrades and footpath repair and construction. Clients include Dublin County Council, South Dublin County Council, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Fingal County Council.

Telecommunications With more than 30 years’ experience, our In-Home Solutions team is a market leader in the provision of essential support services to the telecommunications sector. We have strategic partnerships with international telecommunications companies including BSkyB, Digicel, Liberty Global, Virgin Media and SIRO. Utilising electronic Mobile Field Technology (MFT), we undertake Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH), Fibre to the Business (FTTB), Copper, Co Axial, Hybrid Fibre-Coaxial (HFC), and Satellite installations. Home Energy Our highly-skilled team holds industry qualifications and related certifications for the work it does in the gas and electricity sectors. Rope Access We have developed extensive expertise in rope access and abseiling techniques, both on and offshore. These are a proven method of achieving a safe work position at height or in areas of difficulty. We hold a full IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) membership and provide specialist services including Fabric Inspection & Maintenance, Structural Repairs, Inspection/Testing of Structures and Cleaning & Painting. Industrial Cleaning Our team provides on and offshore cleaning and decontamination services, using a wide range of safe industrial cleaning techniques such as high pressure water jetting, high airflow vacuum services and chemical decontamination processes. Insulation As a member of the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA), we offer the full spectrum of thermal, cryogenic and acoustic insulation and applications. Maintaining strong technical and commercial links with primary manufacturers and suppliers, we continually review new products, applications and alternative methods of installation. Asbestos Removal We work closely with the UK’s Health and Safety Executive across all of our projects and follow all guidelines set out by the TICA’s Asbestos Control and Abatement Division (ACAD). Each stage of a project is meticulously controlled from the initial survey to removal and disposal of asbestos contaminated materials.

We provide end-to-end account management from initial planning and design through to project delivery. Working with tight production schedules and budgets, we ensure deadlines are met and have a proven track record across both indoor and outdoor events from multi-stage music festivals to bespoke structures for one-off events. Our Innovations In a fast-changing market, we always look to innovate and find new ways to add value for our customers. Project Seurat Strong defensible data for aerial plant is becoming increasingly more crucial to FTTH projects. To date, power line and pole surveys have been a slow, expensive, and manual process. Actavo is proud to announce a new process that will drive down the time and costs of collecting base pole and strand data, as well as drive efficiencies for your project as a whole – Project Seurat. Actavo is setting a new standard for aerial outside plant survey with project Seurat. Utilizing top-grade Lidar scanners and military grade navigation systems, subcentimeter laser accuracy is achieved while traveling at 20 mph without relying on GPS.
Our process collects up to 2 million points per second of geospatially accurate data that can reveal large amounts of information about poles and pole lines. This data is analyzed and measured with all of the results available to be viewed online in 3D and published into a 3D model. Inside of the online 3D modelling software, the data can be used to perform scheduling and estimating for design, construction, and As-Builting. Output from the software is customised to fit your project in a GIS, CAD, or DBS based design.
Multiple Dwelling Units Actavo offers a full MDU service from survey to build and testing. Our innovative solutions combat the key challenges associated with MDUs, namely site survey & address verification, and engineering & design of Fibre-tothe-Home (FTTH)/Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) networks. Our comprehensive design package includes all or part of (1) Strategic Network Planning; (2) High-Level Network Planning; (3) Detailed Network Planning. Our built drawings provide data such as real fibre length, network element position/location with GPS coordinates, names/ID and measurements, pole/chamber terminals, final splicing chart and splice closure. Actavo uses both coaxial and fibre solutions with the latest products and techniques to ensure an efficient deployment on behalf of our clients. End-to-End Testing is provided to typically include; B-A testing with OTDR, A-B testing with OTDR, Light loss test with calibrated source and measured at each network outlet and cable distances recorded for each section. We are committed to constant innovation to ensure the most efficient working network.
Narrow Trenching Actavo recently constructed a fibre-to-the-business / backbone network in Jamaica using this new methodology and we saw excellent results – there was less disruption to the public and the works were completed significantly quicker than if traditional trenching had been used. This brings with it a substantial cost benefit for our customer.
