Tactical Theme: Fork
When a pawn or a knight does a double attack, it is called a fork. A fork cannot usually be executed by pieces other than a knight or pawn. In other cases, it is simply called a double attack.
Solving more puzzles using the fork can help one understand about knight movement better. Many times a fork is not directly visible, but can be setup by making few moves. Giving away a rook for a minor piece is called an exchange sacrifice.
