The protection of the horse‘s sensitive mouth is most important to beris. From bit ring to the complicated cheekpieces: ever piece of metal parts is shaped formed by hand, welded and polished to perfection. The innovative design of the mouthpiece also ensures a better acceptance of the bit and facilitates communication between horse and rider. The beris mouthpieces are made of a food safe plastic compound, processed and with a surface finish unequalled so far in the field of plastic bits. Their surface is very smooth and they slide easily in the mouth, even if the horse doesn´t produce much saliva. Practically all horses like our mouthpieces. They produce saliva, chew more and accept the bit readily.

This anatomically correct bit sits lightly and evenly on tongue and bars and provides more room and freedom of movement for the tongue. When the reins are taken up, pressure is applied evenly on tongue and bars. A lateral squeezing of tongue and bars does not occur. Bit guards prevent pinching of the lips. Thanks to its slightly domed shape, the comfort bar sits very still in the horse‘s mouth. Bits with a slightly domed bar are considered to be particularly gentle and kind to the mouth. This property, in combination with our beris plastic, enables the horse and rider to communicate with each other in an easier and more gentle way. The comfort bar is especially suitable for young and sensitive horses.
Identical in shape to the Comfort Bar, just the thickness is a lot thinner at 15 mm. This makes the bit an ideal one for ponies and horses with limited room in their mouths. Very successful in use as a dressage bit on horses for whose mouth a thick Weymouth bit and bradoon would be too much.
Horses accept leather bits exceptionally well. Leather is a purely natural product, it stimulates chewing and also the fl w of saliva. The bit slides easily in the mouth thereby increasing well being. The processed leather has been vegetable-tanned and hand stitched. When moistened, the anatomically preshaped bit adjusts perfectly to the anatomy of the horse‘s mouth. Our leather mouthpiece is particularly well suited to young and highly sensitive horses. Even horses that generally come to dislike bits in their mouth mostly like a leather bit and can re-learn a trusting acceptance of the bit.

TONGUE PORT BAR
KONNEX PORTED MOUTHPIECE (THIN)
The tongue port bar has a special, flat ened port shape. This means the tongue receives an optimum amount of room. Many horses react to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. The bit is also eminently suitable however for horses that play with their tongues, which attempt to put their tongue over the bit as the port effectively prevents this. This bit is thus extremely suitable for horses that are intolerant of conventionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react with head tossing or similar.
Now our beris Konnex is final y also available in the sizes 110, 120 and 130 mm! Identical in shape to the previous Konnex bar, we have slimmed down the Konnex bar thin according to the needs of sporty ponies and horses. The Konnex thin bar convinces with a thickness of only 15 mm at the lips and a proportionally slimmer tongue curve. The Konnex thin bit is also recommended as a dressage bit for ponies and horses whose mouths would be overloaded by a thicker curb bit and a bridle. The pony bits are supplied with correspondingly smaller side pieces!
The eggbutt bar is a unversally deployable mouthpiece, it sits very quietly in the horse‘s mouth and the eggbutts effectively prevent the lips from being pinched.
EGGBUTT SNAFFLE Jointed bits exert increased pressure on the branches of the lower jaw and the sides of the tongue. A single jointed bit restricts bloodfl w less than does a double jointed bit. Our jointed eggbutt bit is made from a medium fl xible plastic. In order to moderate the pressure on the branches of the lower jaw, the mouthpiece has a particularly fl xible area at the sides. The shape and angulation of the joint enables it to sit evenly on the tongue so that bloodfl w remains almost unrestricted.
PRIME MOUTHPIECE The beris PRIME sets new standards in communication between horse and rider. The anatomically correctly shaped, extremely soft mouthpiece distributes the pressure evenly over the tongue and bars. Integrated, oval bit guards with a carefully modeled transition to the middle piece prevent pinching of the lips and give the bit an additional, particularly good, lateral support.

EGGBUTT BAR The bit fits per ectly in the mouth due to its slight dome shape. Pressure on the rein alters the angle of the bit in the mouth and, due to its special design, produces an increased effect on the bars and tongue. The shaped transition from the mouthpiece to the bit rings prevents pinching and additionally provides the bit with particular lateral stability and hold. The shape of the bit is particularly suited for working with young horses.

The 3 ring bit combines effective lateral restriction, leverage and lifting effects in one. The degree of effect is selected via the different buckling possibilities for the reins. Attached to the bottom ring, the applied rein will have the effect of a short lever on the bit. The 3 ring bit is often used to test the horse‘s reaction to a lever effect.

KIMBLEWICK BIT The Kimblewick bit is an effective combination of a lever action on the horse‘s lower jaw, poll pressure and a re-positioning of the bit inside the horse‘s mouth. Three different buckling options allow a well regulated use of the bit. The solid sidepieces of the bit give it a certain weightiness, which ensures a quieter position in the mouth.

PELHAM
The Pelham- a classic bit, now in our more elegant and enhanced design. When the reins are applied, the bit acts on the mouth, lower jaw and poll. Depending on lever length of the shanks (5 cm or 7.5 cm), a different strength and direct bit angulation in the mouth is achievable. Used on horses that have difficulties oming through at the poll, „hot“ horses, or on horses that need signifi ant input in critical situations (such as jump offs or similar). The Pelham is supplied with curb hooks.
