Special Laurels We take immense pride in our children participating in the World’s Artificial Intelligence Competition for Youth and making our presence felt in the forum. Team of Ishana Sahoo(3), S. Dheena Dhayalan (4) and Pranav Ramanathan (5) bagged second prize in Humanoids category.

As part of Scouts and Guides, five children – Shreya Alur, Nikita Rao,Poorvi Chinnoor, Roshini and Purvikalyani attended camp for three days and learnt many survival techniques. They passed the Rajyapuraskar exam and came out in flying colours bolstering their confidence.

Aarya Kittur of class 6 brought laurels to school by securing th 4 rank in the state level Spell Bee competition for the MP Harshitha of class IX passed the year 2019-20. Bharatnatyam Junior grade exam conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Sumanth N of Examination Board with distinction. class 4 participated in Global Art competition and bagged a special prize.

Special Laurels The first Virtual BVMG Model United Nations was conducted on 18th December 2020 and Eyati Saran & Tejaswi of class IX bagged the best article prize in the International Press Committee while Srivatsan of class 8 was awarded Best Delegate prize in the UN security Council committee showcasing the competitive spirit.

Children displayed their mettle and tenacity in the Virtual Chess Tournament conducted on two consecutive Sundays by playing five rounds and pocketing prizes in four categories of Boys and Girls.

Walking Down The Memory Lane…

Caring for our environment is important was the message of World Environment day celebration on June 5. Innovative posters and power point presentations brought forth the need of the hour of protecting our environment.

World Music day was commemorated through “Swaralaya” program of encouraging budding artists. Short videos of students singing their favourite classic/ Hindustani songs were collated for public perusal. Learning as well as appreciating music brings about peace of mind.

International Yoga day was celebrated virtually through simple asanas done by teachers to guide children as well as parents watching the web broadcast. How doing Yoga daily can help to calm our minds and strengthen our bodies was described through different exercises.

Investiture ceremony of student council members was conducted on July 27th. Members were elected by virtual election complete with their speech for seeking votes in a special assembly. Ms. Purvi Kalyani was elected as the Head girl and Ms. Poorvi Chinnur as the Sports Secretary. The members gave a rousing acceptance speech and pledged to work for the students. On July 31st Sanskrit day was celebrated by classes 6-10 through Sloka reciting, Gita chanting, Story narration etc. Sanskrit teacher Mr. Sreehari explained the significance and beauty of Sanskrit language. The need to use it widely and maintain the standards were discussed in detail. Children created their own bracelets for the soldiers to be tied on the Raksha Bhandan day as the custom every year at BVM Global. This year the dance show was presented virtually as an ode to the sacrifices done by the soldiers for our sake.

On August 15, Independence day was celebrated with flag hoisting and performances by children dressed in tri colours. The value of hard fought freedom and the people behind it were learnt through speeches and songs. Beautiful dance was presented virtually that ended with an inspiring speech by the principal. 33

The childhood antics of God Krishna has always captured the hearts of everyone be a child or an adult. Similarly children dressed up as little Krishna and Radha for Gokulashtami celebrations simply stole the show. Colourful attires, beautiful smile and engaging voice made the day a memorable one for children of all classes. Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrations were done in batches for classes 1-2, 3-5 and 610. A simple head gear for Ganesha was done by students of class 1-2 and a clay Ganesha idol by classes 3-10. Children enthusiastically learnt to make the idol and decorate it as their wish. Why only clay should be used to make the idol was explained and entertaining songs, dances were enjoyed. Speech in different languages imparted more about the origin of the festival.

Teacher’s day turned out to be a very emotional affair as children poured their love and affection through various means like greeting cards, poems, performances, dramas. Teachers were left speechless by the wonderful gesture and entertaining programs. PTA members helped students in organising the memorable event.

“Mom and me reading together” activity was conducted on September 14th for classes 1 & 2. Children read a story book along with their mom and shared what they found interesting in it. This initiative is to foster reading habits in children at home. The habit generally starts at home when the parent introduces stories in the form of books. So the child will be able to develop reading skills along with the vocabulary.

Global Handwashing day on October 15th was celebrated in Class 1 & 2 to instill the importance of washing hands properly with soap and water. This essential exercise was taught in an interesting way so that children are aware and can help in sensitising the elders too.

Apart from the usual programs like stimulating speeches, soul stirring songs and dazzling dance describing Dusshera in depth, a unique virtual tour to Mysuru was organised for children. It was altogether different experience for them to have potluck virtually and enjoying with friends. Teachers guided them in this exciting adventure to have maximum fun.

As a tribute to the unique Goddess Bhuvaneshwari – Kannada Matha, Rajyotsava celebrations were done by hoisting the flag and rendering the anthem written by Poet Kuvempu with fervour. Various outstanding poets, artists and musicians were remembered and the oath to serve the country was taken.

Diwali is not only the festival of lights but is also the one that lightens up the face and heart of our young minds. Each class indulged in doing some art & craft activity to mark the occasion. The Diwali celebrations not only had dance, songs and speeches but the important message of how to make it safe for everyone. Children were taught the rules to follow while bursting crackers and also to take care of pets during the noise pollution.

Children love to experience the fun in the most delightful way. If they are given a whole day for themselves why would they ask for more? Children’s day was celebrated with programs by teachers like song, dance and a skit. There were interesting virtual games for children to play with their friends facilitated by the teachers. Children loved every minute of it and had a great time being with friends. 36

Specific awareness about United Nations Organization was created on November 24th on its 75th anniversary. Interactive quiz program, Power Point presentations, Speech gave a wholesome idea about its formation as well as its functioning. The need to reach out to all and keep everyone’s welfare in mind got lodged in the children’s mind. They vowed to make the world a better place for the upcoming generations. Language literary club award ceremony was conducted on December 5th. A dance for a Tamil song, French skit, Slokas in Sanskrit and Couplets recitation in Hindi, Speech in Kannada encompassing all languages was very innovative and entertaining. Here again the winners of various competitions pertaining to different classes were awarded with virtual certificates. Principal Maam endorsed on learning to read and write one’s mother language as it will help in our comprehension skills. Creativity in Maths was fostered in children by encouraging them with activities for Ramanujan day celebrations. They came up with colourful ideas and work that was displayed in the virtual gallery. Learning about famous mathematicians who brought great understanding to working principles through the theories motivated the children’s curiosity. Charts with simple explanations of concepts and activities immensely enriched the knowledge of the kids. 37

The end may not always be sad as you are about to start your journey on to the new year. The festive spirit in celebrating Christmas was evident in the children’s expressions during the choir as well as the dance. Ms. Nisha gave a meaningful interpretation of the habit of gifting each other and how to always love thy neighbour. Children were excited to greet every teacher to enjoy holidays as well. Two students of class 5 also played a classical and Western number in guitar with the able guidance of the teacher. Songs in different languages with a soulful message for respecting the farmers in the country marked the celebrations of Makara Sankranthi. Children also explained how it is celebrated in other parts of India in all the languages taught in school. They showcased their talents in playing guitar and saying relevant slokas in a mesmerising voice. The emphasis was on the real values behind our every tradition and everyone has to be proud of their roots. We need to join hands in upkeeping our culture through such meaningful celebrations.

Language plays a vital role in making our communication effective. In the diverse country of India, English is often the bridge between people from various states. As the means of developing English several competitions were conducted at different class level like Poem recitation, picture comprehension, debate, essay writing etc. Children participated enthusiastically and grabbed prizes based on their talents. English language literary award ceremony was conducted on January 23 in the virtual mode. Children enthralled with their unique performances of dressing up as their favourite author, quipping about why they love English, enacting a drama. Teachers presented a consolidated video of the children’s entries and the e-awards were distributed with great fanfare.

Republic day celebrations were done on January 27th with unfurling of flag by Vice Principal and special address by our Principal. The need to value the freedom obtained after huge sacrifices by our ancestors was nailedon to the young minds. Inspiring speeches by students about the importance of the day, group song, drama by seventh graders and a dance by sixth graders made the day memorable.

“Shark Tank” is a program to identify the student entrepreneurs who can sell their product to a team of five through convincing facts and advertisement tactics. Children participated in this inter BVM program and learnt about marketing their product in a virtual environment.

On account of National Science day on February 28, classes 3-5 had a quiz on Plants, animals and Energy. Children are encouraged to submit PPT, chart and models on their respective topics. Class 6-9 were given the topic “The future, Science and Innovation under which subtopics of the impacts on various fields like Communication, Medicine & Health care, Education , Work & work style kindling their creativity in producing Posters, Collage, Web Page, Cartoon making and involving Robotics.

New Trials With Technology Spirit of Freedom is an activity conducted for all classes with different themes for drawing. Participation was huge and the outcome was very innovative.

“Empowering young minds” program was launched this year to let students of higher classes develop leadership and communication skills through teaching crfats, life values through stories to children in primary classes. They made use of handmade innovative aids as well as interactive technology to drive the meaning into the minds of the youngsters. National Sports day was celebrated on August 29th by sharing important tips for keeping our body fit and healthy. Student council members displayed certain exercises for the children to follow on a daily basis. One should develop not only the mind but also the body to be efficient was the message given to all.

Project Day BVM Global, Bengaluru is proud of conducting the first ever Virtual Project day on September 19th on the topic “Unsung Heroes – Indian Soldiers in world war 1 and 2”. Planning started months before and each class was given a sub topic like

KG – Transportation Class 1 – War instruments 2 – Support System

3 – communication technology 4 – Geography of the world wars 5 – Reorganization of Army post 1957

Children were trained to record their speech along with appropriate illustrations, photos or models and send the video. Teachers collated them and made the final video adding names of the children. Robotics, Resource and counselling also had their own presentations for the project day. There were teasers sent with an intriguing question related to the topic that captured everyone’s eyes.

Children of class 10 took upon an important task of educating children of classes 3 - 5 about “Cyber Safety”. The world is now at our fingertips and thus everyone should know how to safeguard themselves when online by not giving out any personal information. Both parties gained lot of learning through this activity and very drop counts in the ocean of knowledge.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was celebrated on account of the birthday of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. He was the pillar behind uniting various monarchs of our country under the newly formed government. The power of acting united in all situations was emphasized and children promised their solidarity on the same. “Virtual Picnic” was organised for all classes from LKG – 10 to visit places in online platform with friends and share the unique experience. Children enjoyed touring new places with friends and learning to enrich their knowledge in a non- traditional manner. They even had a virtual pot luck of snacks adding to their great fun.

Children from classes 8 and 9 participated in the inter BVM Model United Nations conducted on December 18. One team from grade 9 received the Best article prize and another student from grade 8 received the Best delegate award in the very first event attended by them. 43

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” goes the saying. In order to motivate our children Virtual sports day was conducted for primary classes on January 30. Mr. Abraham Thangaraj, presided and gave valuable tips for balancing academics with sports and ensuring that everyone follows a healthy diet. Each class were given three tasks to complete within a minute and send the video of the same. The first, second and third prize was then selected by judges through meticulous observation and ecertificates provided. Class wise drill practice and march past by even the tiny tots of kindergarten stole the hearts of many on the occasion.

Netty always wished that her doll Sony could talk and do other things like a normal human being. But it never came true. One night when Netty went to drink some water, she heard Sony talking. Netty got surprised and exclaimed, “Oh Sony! are you really talking?’’ “Oh Netty, I always talk at night”, Sony “I didn’t know that. Why didn't you tell me this before?’’

ENGLISH The Secret Mission In the city of Hyderabad, (known for police training in India) new batches of students for training were about to be recruited. Many people from different parts of India came for the training. Arjun, Dharsh and Rana three best friends from Mallapur also joined the academy to fulfill their childhood dreams. Soon the three best friends also became the best students of the academy. After some months, the academy officials were called for a meeting with the commissioner, regarding the fraud magician also known as the magic thief by the people. It was a very complicated case for the police department. The police department was trying to solve the case for over a long period of time. The main complication in the case was that no one has seen the magician, and he could also make himself disappear. In the meeting they had an idea of sending an unknown face as his assistant to spy on him. Even though they have sent a police officer, the magician got to know of the plan and no one have seen the police officer since then. Some people say the magician used his tricks to make him disappear and some say that he murdered the officer. Till now the status of police officer remains a mystery. So now in the present, the officials decided to send their academy's best student. After a long discussion they decided to send Arjun as the magician’s assistant. Arjun agreed and the next day he joined and as per the academy officials advice, also created a team for safety. Arjun created a team with some of the students of the top 10 students and his best friends Dharsh and Rana. He kept his team updated and always had them around in all the shows held by the magician hiding somewhere. Similarly in one of the shows held by the magician, there was an unexpected appearance of their assistant commissioner Aryan who didn't know that this was the magician's show. With a guessing that it was the magician’s plan, Arjun reported the other members of his team to keep an eye on assistant commissioner Aryan. At the end of the show everyone left except Aryan, who looked like he was hypnotized. The members of Arjun’s team were hiding in the venue. At the back of the stage the magician was chanting something which soon resulted in Aryan’s body disappearing slowly. With a fear of losing their mission and their assistant commissioner, the boys at once shot the magician from where they were standing. Darsh dropped his gun and called the ambulance while the others went to check on Aryan. Rana informed the higher officials of their academy. Soon they all came to the venue. After checking the venue, they offered them five days break. After the break, they all returned to the campus. All the other students in the campus congratulated them and after that the days were normal, all of them back to routine training

Down we went the Slippery Slide, Sitting on cushions, Enjoying every moment of the ride.

At last, we reached The Faraway Tree, We thanked the elf, He was very helpful indeed.

ENGLISH The Brave Esther Once upon a time there was a small island near the Indian ocean called Eurasia. It was ruled by Loral who was a weak ruler. He was defeated by another ruler whose name was Rio. Everybody feared Rio. One day Loral died. Loral had no sons, so they did a wrestling and brain challenge to choose his successor. Esther, who was the knight of king Loral, participated in both the challenges, won them and became the king. The subjects expected him to be a better ruler. The people of Eurasia asked Esther to defeat Rio. He got ready for the duel. In the duel between Esther and Rio, Esther pushed him as he was much stronger than Rio and threw him down. Rio was defeated and imprisoned. He was sentenced to death and was executed by Esther. Esther conquered the nearby empires as well as Rio’s empire and became an emperor. He made alliance with the Marathas and the Sikhs and became a threat to Mughal ruler Aurangzeb. When Aurangzeb passed away, the British had taken over the Mughal empire. They also wanted to take over Eurasia. First, they used their tricks, but Esther fell for none. So, the first Anglo-Eurasia war started. Eurasia won the first war; they won the second and the third war as well. So, the British made peace for twelve years. Esther died in the twelfth year and his capable son would not let the British win Eurasia.

ENGLISH Yercaud - The Poor Man's Ooty One of the memorable trips I went with my family before COVID-19 lockdown. Yercaud is a hill station in Salem, Tamil Nadu. It is located in the Eastern Ghats. It is called poor man’s Ooty. We went during the month of June, and it was cool with pleasant weather. We reached Yercaud via Hosur, Salem route, and 20 hairpin bends to reach the top. Those hairpin bends were so adventurous.

We stayed there in a resort and the evening we went to boating in the big lake, which is in the centre of Yercaud. We saw the sun set. Next morning we enjoyed the scene of beautiful sun rise between the tall trees and explored the nature by listening to birds chirping, trekking and many more activities. Evening we visited the botanical garden where flower show was organized. I saw a lot of new varieties of daisy and rose flowers. The trip ended with a bon fire and wood oven pizza.

ENGLISH Healthy Vegetable Sandwich Recipe Ingredients:           

Bread slices -4 no's Butter – 2 tbs Carrot grated – 1/2 cup Cabbage chopped into thin slices – 1/2 cup Capsicum chopped into thin slices – ½ cup Onion chopped into thin slices – ½ cup Coriander leaves finely chopped – 2 tbs Yogurt – ½ cup Salt – As per your taste Pepper – As per your taste Seasoning like Oregano, Italian seasoning or any of your choice

Take a wok. Add butter Now gently add in all the vegetables except the coriander leaves and toss it over on medium heat for 2 min. Add the required salt, pepper and the seasoning of your choice. Finally add in the coriander leaves and keep the mixture closed. Transfer this mixture into a bowl and add yogurt to it and mix it well. Add a tsp of butter on the pan. Place your bread slices on them. Now place the above made mixture on one of the bread slice and press the other slice on top of this. Gently press the bread sandwich and toss it on the other side. Yummy healthy sandwich is ready. You can now relish it with tomato sauce.

ENGLISH The Unseen Shadow It was a cold winter night and I was walking alone towards my house thinking about the warm and delicious food. The streets were deserted. Suddenly I heard the echo of footsteps in the silence of the night. I was scared! ‘Who could it be? A watchman, a police, or someone like me going back home late at night or maybe some criminal following me? It was a scary thought. I started walking more briskly and faster. My house was still a few hundred meters away. I thought of screaming for help, but then decided to go against it as everyone had gone to bed by that time. There was not a soul around. People were fast asleep in their comfortable, warm and cozy rooms . As I began running towards my house, I felt the footsteps moving swiftly towards me. I saw the shadow of a tall man with cap moving rapidly towards me in the dark of the night. As I ran faster, the voice of the man following me shouted, ‘Stop! Or I will shoot you!’ Scared terribly, I stopped. The man came closer to me. As he came closer, I saw in the light of the nearest lamp post that he was a cop. He said, ‘What are you doing outside so late in the cold night? I suspected you were either a criminal or a terrorist. If you had not stopped, I would have fired at you.’ I told him I was returning home after attending a friend’s birthday party. I showed him my identity card and showed him my house too. The cop escorted me to the house and wished me good night. Then he went on his way.

ENGLISH My Adventure Trip We all were doing our usual work for two days even during the Christmas holidays but after that we all felt really bored so we were all thinking, “What can we do during the Christmas holidays????????” So, we all thought to go for a trip to Coorg, so we all packed our luggage and set off. But on the way the roads were really dark and near the forest, we were the only one to travel through that road. After we reached Coorg, we first thought to go for a trek named Tadiandamol trek which is the second highest peak in Karnataka. As it is one of my favourite sport, we went looking for a jeep. That day there were no jeeps, so we tried moving further but we failed. With a “never give up” attitude we tried once more and succeeded.

When we reached the forest check post, the forest officials warned us about elephants, we were really thrilled after hearing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we moved further, we saw fresh dungs of elephant. We all felt that this trek is easier than our earlier trek in Chembra peak in Wayanad, Kerala. It became steeper and rocky which made it difficult to climb.

The weather was rsunny and hot which made us really exhausted and tired that we drank all the water in our water bottles. Finally, after considerable efforts we reached the peak, the scenery was so good from there. If you like adventures trips you should surely plan your day for that. We thought getting down would be much easier but it was just the opposite. It was really slippery. We searched for a stick as it would give us support, but there were no sticks available. When we were getting down we didn’t see anyone on the way which made us think as if we are going on the wrong route. At last we met a group of people and also spotted a freshwater stream and drank water from it. We finally got down safely. 65

ENGLISH We then went to our tent house, which was a new experience . I thought it would be so warm in a tent but it was same like in my house. In the morning we enjoyed in the backwaters, we carefully bathed only in the shallow part. We also played tennis in the big ground. We then planned to go for river rafting which is a water sport which was also a completely different experience. The challenge in river rafting is to raft the boat fast at the same time to row it without crashing it on the rocks. We actually went really fast but suddenly the boat was almost to crash into the rock and sink but we all managed to turn the boat in time. We were also allowed to swim, so I jumped into the water and started swimming but as the waves started increasing, we had to raft the boats back to the shore.

An then we left to Bangalore, and the first that came into my mind after reaching Bangalore was about the literary event homework.

Sharing Is Caring Yadu lived in a small village on the hills. He loved his family and friends, with whom he always played and had fun. Once Yadu’s aunt bought chocolate cookies for his family. Yadu always had a habit of sharing before eating. There were five children and aunt had bought five cookies. So all the five children got one each. The children were happy to eat the chocolate cookie. While eating one of the child’s cookie fell and he was very sad. He started to cry. None of the kids were ready to share their cookie except Yadu. Yadu with a kind heart shared his cookie and made his friend feel happy. On the next day, for a surprise Yadu’s dad had bought cakes and cookies for him. Nobody in their family knew that he had done an act of sharing but he felt happy. Yadu thought for himself that, “God watches every act of ours. If we share and care for others, God will take care of us.”

ENGLISH Aria’s Greatest Achievement Aria’s fascination towards space began only when she was a toddler. She would often go out with her family and observe different patterns made by the stars. As she grew older, her passion only became stronger. She started watching many films or shows and read various novels on space. Aria would often go to the nearest library and spend hours studying or researching about the elements of space. At the age of fifteen, Aria decided to pursue her interest in space and become an astronaut. She had always wanted to experience zero gravity, attempt a moonwalk and to just observe the vast universe as a whole. She had put in a lot of effort to get the best of grades in her high-school years. She was a hard worker and always put her best foot forward during an exam. Aria excelled in her school and would continue doing so in the upcoming years of her life. Aria’s parents, who were very supportive of her, had encouraged her to try out for a prestigious university in their hometown. Aria was a little anxious at first but decided to give it a go anyway. Eventually, after giving the entrance exam, Aria found out that she had passed with flying colours and had enrolled herself into the college. During the initial stages of her time in the college, everything was going smoothly. She had already learnt a lot of new and fascinating things and had also made some friends. But, as time passed, her mother had fallen critically ill and Aria had to miss out on a lot of classes to take care of her. Aria had decided that she and her father would stay by her mother’s side until she had completely recovered and that her mother’s life was more important than her studies. Unfortunately, this decision affected her college life, she had missed out on a lot of classes and wasn’t able to catch up. She progressively did worse and worse in her classes and her grades went down. Aria was extremely depressed; the once bright student was now dull and dark. After some weeks, Aria’s mother had a full recovery and was able to go back to her everyday life. That was the good news, but the bad news was that Aria wasn’t able to pass that semester. She was deeply upset of the result but she hadn’t given up on her dream and decided to work even harder to get a good grade. From then onwards, Aria studied day and night. She had given up her free time to study and rarely went out with her friends. Eventually, all this hard work paid off and Aria had passed the next semester with good grades. 67

ENGLISH After Aria had done her masters, she went to work in a famous space agency. She quickly climbed up the ranks and was qualified to become an astronaut. She now had the opportunity to work in an actual space station. Aria was thrilled. When the day of the launch came, Aria found herself sitting inside a rocket, surrounded by the crew, feeling nervous and excited but she told herself, “It’s going to be okay”. When they reached the space station, Aria was beyond excited. Aria also realized that it was her hard work and determination which kept her moving forward and got her to where she is today. She could not wait for what the future holds for her and aspires to do great things. Ultimately, Aria won in life as she was determined to accomplish her mission and that was Aria’s greatest achievement!

Holiday Trip I went to Bandhipur forest during my Christmas holidays. We reached there in the afternoon. We saw some animals like the wild pig, Leopard and Elephants. We went for a safari and we could spot a few animals. It was very hot there in the afternoon and very cold in the night. From there we started off to Mettupalayam via Ooty to meet my grandmother. She is 95 years old. After meeting her, we went to Coimbatore and there I stayed with my grandparents I have a friend in Coimbatore where I stayed with my grandparents. There I have a friend named Shweta. I had fun with her. From there we went to Palani. We stayed in a hotel room and the next morning we visited the temple there. It had more than 500 steps. We climbed all the steps and got the best darshan and blessed by Lord Muruga. There were so many monkeys over there. We came back to the room, slept for a while and started our journey back to Bangalore. It had started drizzling and it was a very chilly weather back in Bangalore.

Then Leo tried climbing out but he got stuck in the mud. George the Giraffe, who came that way, stretched his neck and Leo held onto that and came out. Seeing the dried river George told that animals will die due to the lack of water. Leo thought of a plan. He saw that Elly had drank a lot of water and she was unable to move. He also felt that there was something stuck in Elly’s trunk. Leo asked George to swing and throw him on to Elly. When Leo hit Elly, the water from his trunk was sprayed back into the river. Also, Toto, the tortoise, who was stuck in the elephant’s trunk, also fell back into the water. They all became very happy because they are safe now. They became friends forever.

ENGLISH The Longest Night It was raining heavily that night as I dashed towards the abandoned building, I heard a scream. Someone had just run over Ryan, my best friend. I didn’t know what to do, it was an empty street with only us and a building that was abandoned. I was heartbroken. I ran towards him; he was bleeding excessively. I started calling out for help, but no one came as the street was deserted. I didn’t have a car; I knew I had lost him. But there was a strong voice in my head that said that he was alive. My whole body started to tremble. I could feel my throat lumping up, but I choked back. I tried carrying him to the building, but I was too weak to be able to carry him. so, I decided on pulling him to the building, I tried calling the ambulance. There was no signal. I was absolutely devastated and lost. I sat there beside Ryan's now dead body, crying in misery. Suddenly, I heard a car passing by, with music blaring on. But I didn’t care about the music, I wanted Ryan to reach the hospital as soon as possible. I ran out of the door and yelled at the car to stop. It stopped. After successfully carrying Ryan to the car, with the help of the man who owned the car, we reached the city hospital. It was too late. I had completely broken down by then. My white t-shirt was drenched in blood. I thanked the man and he left. I know I should have called Ryan's family, but I didn’t have the courage. After about an hour of crying in misery, I decided on calling his mom, who also happened to be my aunt.

After fifteen minutes, she came running towards me asking where Ryan was. The two of us had another hour-long breakdown. The doctors told us to leave as it was getting late. I didn’t realize that it was already 3 in the morning. A week later, at his funeral, everyone was devasted. It was the worst time of my life. I had just lost my best friend. Never had I thought that I would see him like this, lying there, wrapped in white, motionless, in a coffin.

ENGLISH The Story Of The Archaeologist Once upon a time there lived a man called Tharun. He lived in a small house. He was a poor man. His dream was to become an archaeologist. He studied so hard that by the age of twenty-eight, he did become an archaeologist. He went to different places and excavated many archaeological sites and learnt more about the history. One day when he went to a cave, he saw many ancient pictures were there. While excavating the cave, he also found a pot. Inside it there was a piece of paper. It was so old and dirty! He opened it, in that there were clues and at the middle of the paper there was a picture of a treasure box.

He had a doubt- what to do with it? Should he give it to the higher authorities or should he find the treasure himself? In the map itself there were clues so he thought that he will find it and give little to his family and rest to the government or to any orphnages. His task was to find which country it was. He had gone through the whole of Russia and excavated all the lands. He started his research. He tried to find the treasure, day and night but still he could not find it. His parents were sad about his health. They took him to Moscow. There they found a few shopkeepers- people from some other country came there for selling a few things which was made in their country. His parents went to buy them but Tharun was not interested. He was bored. He turned to call his parents, but suddenly, he saw a picture inside one of the shopkeeper’s bags. It seemed like the other half of the picture which he had. He went to take it but the shopkeepers blocked him clutching hard to their bags. “Which country are you from?” he asked but they did not understand his language. Little did he know that the shopkeepers were speaking in Tamil.

ENGLISH Tharun had a friend who was a Tamilian named Alex. He called him and asked him to come to Moscow as soon as possible. After a few days when Alex came to Moscow, he asked the shopkeepers what Tharun was trying to tell them. Finally, Tharun found out which place they were from. It is India and hence, he wanted to go to India to find out more about the picture. He asked his chief for permision to go to India. When the chief asked why he wanted to go to India, Tharun said that his cousin is getting married there and so he wanted to go. The chief allowed him to go but on the condition that he had to come back within 15 days. After reaching India, Tharun started working on where the treasure could be in India. He found that most of the teasure in the map were to be found there. He went to Chennai, Salem, Kanchipuram, Tirunelveli, Coimbature and at last he came to Madurai.

He thought that he had finally identified the place. It was in the middle of a jungle. On his way, he found a moutain, he guessed that he would find the treasure on the other side of the mountain. He climbed the moutain. When he had almost reached the foot of the mountain, he found a tall tree. He was tired and he thought that he could take a little rest and then continue his jorney. He sat under the tree and soon he fell asleep. When he woke up he saw that he was surrounded by a few tribals. They were talking about him. He saw the treasure there. “You are our king.” the tribals said. Tharun was confused. Why were these people telling that he was the king of the tribal group? “Who ever finds our place we will consider that person as our king.” they explained. Tharun asked for the treasure and the tribe gave it to him. The tribe did not know that the box contained treasure. After this adventure, Tharun came back to Russia. He took a little portion of the treasure for his own use and handed over the rest to the Russian government. He also got a promotion in his job. He lived a happy life after this incident.

ENGLISH The Haunted house

I was living in a town that had no sign of creepy ghost movement. So, one day my friends and I planned to face the greatest fears of our lives “GHOSTS”. We decided to spend 24hrs in OHIO STATE PENITENTIARY as it is known as one of the most haunted places ever on Earth. It covers an area over two fifty thousand sq. ft of pure haunted nightmare fuel. We decided to spend 24hrs in this place. We have many safety gadgets like torches, blankets, electromagnetic radiation detector because the LED on this will flicker if there is any sign of ghost near us. We will also be exploring the whole place. This used to be a six-story prison, also known as one of the largest prisons in America. A few minutes later we all went to explore and find out whether this place is really haunted? We got to know that this place consisted of more than one hundred jail cells. Suddenly the lights of our electromagnetic radiation detector flickered a lot and we understood that we were near some sort of haunted thing or ghost. So, all of us decided to return back to our camp. We all decided to take a nap after the spooky thing we saw. We all freaked out the whole night. We successfully survived twenty-four hours in this place. We all found out that the light flickered because there was some sort of electromagnetic radiator near all of us. We thought that we would get possessed by some deadly demons but nothing happened to us. We thought someone would die. We all survived. This proves that ghosts don’t exist in this place. Now none of us are scared of ghosts.

ENGLISH Travelling Through Time... Not so long ago, in a small town in London, lived a man named Antonio Johnson. He was a really curious and inquisitive man. He kept asking questions to people, due to which got into a lot of trouble. Once when he was in a gathering, he asked his bald uncle why he didn't have hair, " You silly little kid ", the uncle yelled, "Is that how u talk to your adults? " But this didn't stop him. On his 23rd birthday, his friends asked him whether he had thought about the profession he is planning to persuade. This thought got stuck to his mind, and he wondered to himself, "I am 23 now and I have achieved absolutely nothing, but I think if I can make something that will give me the ability to see the future and the past, it will be so great that I can correct my mistakes and can plan for my future and thus no one will be able to make fun of me again.“ Thinking so, he started to read books that would give him information on building a time machine. After 3 months of extensive reading and research, he finally started building the machine. The people living in the town kept wondering why Antonio stopped coming out. 5 years later, the machine was ready to be explored. Now all that was left to do was to test it. So, Antonio sat inside the Machine and set the time, date and the year. He yelled "ok the moment of truth" in the stuffy gadget and pulled the lever. To his astonishment the lever was broken. "WHAT!?!, Five years of hard work and this is what I get!", said Antonio disappointed, and kicked it out of anger. "OUCH!" He shrieked in pain. He heard some beeping. Voila!! it was the machine- purring and beeping to life. This brought back the confidence in him as he just had to fix the lever. He set back to work. After an hour he was all set to go. He sat inside the Machine again and set the date, time and year, he pulled the lever and next thing he knew was that he had an aching head. He tried to stand up straight and then throw up. He looked around, there were people staring at him. He heard people say "what is he wearing?”, "What's that thing he came in?". Sooner he realised, he was in the future. Antonio started jumping and dancing in happiness " I AM IN THE FUTURE! Ha-ha ". People of this century had never seen a wild being like this before, jumping and dancing and singing a strange song. A crowd gathered to see this man of yore. Not able to contain his astonishment, one of the people from crowd, asked him whether he was fine and wanted them to call the doctor. Antonio asked them what year it was "it's 2015 dear, are you sure you're fine"? the lady asked. "yes miss, thank you" said Antonio, unable to hide his excitement. 74

He then left for a tour of the 2015 London; he saw that people looking at this strange device that would give him any information he wanted. He thought that this world was very weird as no one knew anyone and when you wave at someone, they don't even look at you. He stayed for 2 days and left in the machine. When he reached back home, he had an aching head. He tried to stand up straight and then threw up yet again. He couldn't wait to tell everyone about the time machine he had invented and the fact that it actually worked. So, he called guests the next day and told them about the machine, everyone told him that he was being nonsensical, he did offer to show them the proof, but they said that they were not buying that and left.

A month later he decided to exhibit his time machine. Not many people believed him and didn't come to the exhibition. One of the guests was a well-known scientist and when Antonio showed him the machine he was really impressed and asked him whether he could have a demonstration. He gave him a demonstration and now he is a well-known scientist too.

The Magic Puppets Once upon a time there was a village. There were two best friends, Ramu and Shamu. They were well known in the village for their intelligence.

Once there was a fair in the village. It was a three-day fair. The first day went well. On the second day there was a puppet show. The story was about the Blue girl. It was very funny and good. After the puppet show, the person sold the dolls. Some children liked those dolls and purchased them. But they were magical dolls. At night the dolls came to life and stole things. The next day the Panchayat was held under a tree. Everyone complained that their precious things were lost. There was one thing to note, only the people who had bought the dolls had lost their precious things. The two friends thought of looking into the matter. They bought a doll. They kept fake gold. They followed the doll and found that he was a thief who knew magic. They told the villagers about this and police and arrested him. The villagers praised the two friends for their intelligence. They lived happily ever after.

''Come lets play in the sand pit. No, lets play in the swing. No, No, let’s play on the slide. No, no…” Nyla woke up suddenly and opened her eyes. '' I wish it would really happen.” sighed Nyla. It was morning. After having breakfast dad went to office. Nyla and mom were at home. After a while, mom came to my bedroom and asked me.'' Nyla, look at all your friends playing outside. I haven’t seen you playing outside. Why don’t you play with them? ” Nyla put her head down and said ''Mom, even I wish to play with my friends . But I can’t. I don’t know how they would react when I ask them if I could play with them.‘’ “Don’t worry, nothing will happen.'' mom said. Mom pulled Nyla’s hand and took her to the park. Nyla was shy and scared. Mom called everyone in the park and said loudly ''My daughter Nyla is a lonely girl. Can you please be friends with her?‘’

After a while, a group of children came to Nyla and said ‘‘Come on Nyla, let’s play.'' This was the happiest moment in her life. From that day onwards Nyla started to play with everyone. She never felt lonely.

ENGLISH Trip to Gudibande Forest

On 1st January 2021, my mother told me that we were going to 'Gudibande Fort'. I would have to climb 500 steps to reach the mountain fort. My father woke me up at 7:45 am the next day. We got ready and drove for about two and half hours to reach the base of the mountain. We started climbing. After a while my mother asked to take a picture. I turned around and realized that it was quite high. The scenery was very good. Further, we had to go under a rock, which looked like it was only supported by two small rocks. I thought it would fall on me, but it was safe. We finally got to the top. I sat on some rocks and ate my snacks. I looked around. It was wonderful. Then we started climbing down. We drove to a huge lake where we ate our lunch. After that we went back home. It was a lovely trekking experience and picnic. I enjoyed it very much.

ENGLISH My First Long Drive My first ever long drive in my car was from Bengaluru to Kanyakumari with my parents. It was the most memorable and exciting trip for me. It was in the month of December and the weather was too awesome!! We started early in the morning. It was drizzling and the roads were long and cool with nice scenery outside. After reaching Kanyakumari early next morning, we went to see the sunrise. It was pleasant and I enjoyed a lot. Also I started playing on the beach where three biggest oceans of our country meet at one point called ‘Triveni Sangam’. I visited Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial and war Museum too. It was very nice and I clicked many photos. We covered around 1400 kilometres altogether. It was the best experience and I had a lot of fun.

L'agriculture animale et les combustibles fossiles ravagent notre planète. Nous devons prendre des mesures drastiques et immédiates. Cette année et cette décennie sont cruciales si nous voulons mettre fin au chaos climatique incontrôlable. Il y a des événements météorologiques extrêmes plus fréquents et plus graves comme; ouragans, inondations, incendies de forêt, sécheresses et élévation du niveau de la mer. Il y aura bientôt des régions du monde trop chaudes pour vivre. Les vecteurs de maladies se propagent avec la hausse des températures. Les systems agricoles pourraient tomber en panne et entraîner une famine massive.

Impact sur les animaux La perte d'espèces s'accélère des dizaines ou des centaines de fois plus vite que par le passé. Plus d'un demi-million d'espèces sur terre ont un habitat insuffisant pour survivre à long terme et sont susceptibles de disparaître dans quelques années à moins que leurs habitats ne soient restaurés. Les océans ne sont pas mieux lotis. Il s'agit simplement d'une perte d'espèces à un rythme sans précédent en raison des humains qui se trouvent entre les deux. Les causes de la perte de cette espèce et de la perte d'écosystème sont des changements extrêmes du climat et de l'utilisation des terres et des océans.

Solution au réchauffement climatique Pour réduire le taux de perte d'espèces et rendre le monde plus sain, chacun de nous doit faire tout son possible pour éliminer la pollution et les pratiques qui réchauffent la planète et modifient notre climat. L’ONU doit prendre des mesures concrètes pour nous rapprocher d’un monde plus sain et plus beau, de la promotion du mouvement de désinvestissement des combustibles fossiles à l’accélération de la transition vers des voitures qui ne polluent pas.

FRENCH Mon Voyage Aventure D’habitude, nous voyageons pendant le Noël. Donc nous avons décidé d’aller à Coorg and nous avons fait nos valises et nous sommes partis. La route était sombre et près de foret et il n’avait pas d’autres voitures qui circulaient. Nous étions seuls et nous avons vraiment peur. Enfin nous sommes arrivés l’autoroute et arrivés à Coorg. Tout d’abord nous avons fait du trekking nommé Tadiandamol qui est le deuxième plus haut sommet du Karnataka. Là nous pouvons aller seulement en jeep. Mais malheureusement ce jour-là, il n’y avait pas de jeeps disponible mais une attitude de ne jamais abandonner, nous avons essayé encore une fois et nous avons réussi. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés au poste de contrôle forestier, les responsables forestiers nous ont mis en garde contre les éléphants, nous étions vraiment ravis après avoir entendu ça !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quand nous nous sommes déplacés plus loin, nous avons vu des excréments frais d'éléphants qui nous ont fait vraiment peur. Le temps faisait vraiment ensoleillé et chaud. Enfin nous avons atteint le sommet et c’était magnifique. Nous avons profité bien de ce voyage.

Hunger Games “Hunger games” est un roman anglais écrit par Suzane Collins en 2012. C’est un roman qui raconte l’histoire d’une jeune fille qui s’appelle Everdeen. Un jour elle se porte volontaire à la place de sa sœur dans le 24ième concours du « Hunger games ». Dans ce concours, vingtquatre enfants de 18 ans sont choisis dans douze districts. Un garçon et une fille de chaque district. Ces enfants sont emmenés au Capitale et formé pendant un mois. Puis ils sont placés dans un environnement difficile où ils devraient survivre. Le dernier enfant vit là-bas sera déclaré le champion. Il y trois livres dans cette série. J’adore tous ces livres. C’est un roman très intéressant.

FRENCH Souris affamée

Une souris était en train de réfléchir. Elle n'avait pas de nourriture pendant de nombreux jours et des efforts acharnés de mode lui ont permis d'obtenir sa nourriture. Tous ses efforts ont été vains. Elle a cherché partout pour trouver sa nourriture. Au fil des jours, elle est devenue très maigre. Un jour, la souris a trouvé un panier avec des maïs. Elle a également remarqué un petit trou dans le panier. Ce qui était suffisant pour la faire entrer. Elle se déplaça facilement dans le trou. faire entrer. Elle se déplaça facilement dans le trou. Comme elle n'avait pas mangé depuis plusieurs jours, elle a mangé une quantité lange de maïs. Sans s'en rendre compte. Elle a continuellement mangé de plus en plus de maïs. Elle a réalisé très tardivement qu'elle mangeait beaucoup plus que ce dont elle avait réellement besoin. Après avoir mangé beaucoup de maïs, elle est devenue très grosse! Satisfaite des maïs, la grosse souris essaya de sortir du panier par le petit trou. Malheureusement, le minuscule trou ne pouvait pas accueillir la grosse souris! La souris a commencé à crier "Oh mon Dieu !! Laisse-moi sortir, comment puis-je sortir?« Un rat après avoir entendu la voix hurlante de la souris du panier, lui a demandé ce qui s'était passé! Le souris a raconté l'histoire et a demandé au rat une solution. Rat a dit: "Si vous voulez sortir du panier, attendez un certain temps, voire plusieurs jours, pour perdre toute votre graisse jusqu'à ce que vous deveniez mince", la souris a commencé à mourir de faim maintenant mais avec beaucoup de nourriture à sortir du piège!

FRENCH La vie au verrouillage

À la veille de la pandémie du virus corona, j’étais vraiment content parce que l’école avait été annulée et je pensais que les cours en ligne seraient meilleurs. J’ai aussi pensé que j’aurais beaucoup de temps pour regarder la télévision et jouer à des jeux. Mais je me suis rendu compte que regarder la télévision toute la journée était ennuyeux. Lorsque les cours en ligne ont commencé, j’ai compris la douleur. Je ne pouvais pas voir physiquement mes amis et c’était ennuyeux de rester assis devant l’écran pendant environ quatre heures. C’est là que j’ai compris que toute bonne chose avait des inconvénients. Je ne pouvais pas sortir avec mes parents ou jouer avec mes amis. La seule fois où j’ai rencontré quelqu’un, c’était dans les cours en ligne. Le reste de la journée, je restais enfermé à la maison. Je prie dieu que jamais cette vie ne se répète.

As it was a sloka cursing a hunter it means – Oh hunter! You would not live well for long, because you have killed a bird from the couple. 2. As it was the first sloka of Ramayana it means: - भा = Lakshmi, ननषाद = abode, भा + ननषाद = Vishnu, (िौञ्च = crooked) Meaning = Oh Vishnu! Rama!
