The smart tool for EU proposal drafters and grant writers CallforEurope is a consultancy that provides for professional information and assistance on European Policies, Programmes and Public Calls. Our mission is to support transparent knowledge and easy access to all of the opportunities offered by EU Programmes. We think that giving fresh information on such themes is a valid lever for boosting European Union integration.

Our support is intended to: • offer technical information on how to access to and manage EU grants and projects; • make people find new transnational partnerships throughout Europe; • stimulate public debate on how to access to EU funds. Our ambition is to serve as a technical resource center. We want to serve primarily those that usually work on writing applications and

managing projects through European funding. Call them “Euro-drafters” or “Euro-experts”: in any case, their activity demands high specialization and a constant updating on European policies, programs and public calls. Our service is intended for them but also for any private, public and not-for-profit organization interested to European programmes and funds.

If you want more information on our services, please drop a line at [email protected] visit us at https://call-for-europe.org subscribe to our newsletter at https://www.call-for-europe.org/newsletter

EIT Mobility Call - Regional Innovation Schemes

call synopsis Programme

EIT Mobility

Administration

EIT Consortium

Objective

The call funds two types of projects; RIS Twins for innovation; RIS specific projects. The ambition to have RIS twins for the innovation projects have been signalized by the partner because budgetary limitations can hinder a full-scale involvement of RIS stakeholders or limit the implementation parallel in a RIS city. This kind of projects are connected to the innovation projects therefore for thematic focus please consult the Innovation Call document. Projects to answer specific RIS needs and challenges have the goal to offer non-member RIS stakeholders a possibility to work on and present their innovative idea to the community and at the same time to connect the best innovators from the RIS countries with the EIT Urban Mobility community (with all partners and with the KIC itself).

Eligible Activities

Two different kind of RIS innovation projects are possible: RIS innovation twin projects and RIS innovation projects for specific RIS needs. For RIS Innovation twin projects, challenge to address are the 4 focus areas of the innovation call 20224: • Active Mobility; • Future Mobility; • Sustainable city logistics; • Mobility and Energy

Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education Pilot Call Horizon Europe

Administration

EIT Consortium

Objective

Increasing the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity in higher education, bringing together HEIs in innovation value chains and ecosystems across Europe. The aim of the pilot HEI Initiative is to extend the impact of the EIT beyond the KICs and thereby contribute to the EIT’s core mission of boosting sustainable economic growth and competitiveness by reinforcing the innovation capacity of Member States. The HEI Initiative aims to encourage HEIs to look at their own practices and the opportunities for increasing their impact in their ecosystem, and it provides support to HEIs to develop and undertake concrete Actions which are specifically tailored to achieve such enhanced impact.

Eligible Activities

HEIs are encouraged to prepare proposals which will support the development and implementation of six Actions in their institutions, cumulatively leading to transformation and an increase in entrepreneurial and innovation capacity. Participation in a proposal selected for funding will not result in any obligation to become an EIT KIC partner. All pilot projects selected for funding under the HEI Initiative are required to create an Innovation Vision Action Plan (IVAP) as part of their application. The IVAP will take a long-term view towards increasing the innovation and entrepreneurial capacity within the corresponding HEIs, at institutional level. The IVAP must demonstrate that it is able to achieve a pre-defined minimum number of EIT Core KPIs8 within 2021, demonstrated below: o Minimum 2 start-ups/scale-ups supported (EIT Core KPI EIT HE 3.1) o Minimum 130 students trained, with a view to innovation and entrepreneurship (EIT Core KPI Code EIT HE 8.1) Of which, minimum 12 students mentored o Minimum 12 academic staff members trained, with a view to innovation and entrepreneurship (EIT Core KPI Code EIT HE 8.1) Of which, minimum 4 academic staff members mentored o Minimum 12 non-academic staff (e.g. professional staff, support staff) trained, with a view to innovation and entrepreneurship (EIT Core KPI Code EIT HE 8.1) Of which, minimum 4 non-academic staff mentored. During the implementation of the IVAP, the pilot project consortium must develop a training for at least one of the selected Actions. The training handbook and all associated materials must be made available in the HEI Initiative Repository, accessible to all HEI Initiative consortia. • The IVAP must include a transferability plan that demonstrates how the selected Actions will be transferred and scaled within the institution during the pilot project funding period. The transferability plan must also outline a detailed plan for further institutionalisation of the IVAP beyond the pilot project funding period. Applicants must incorporate in their proposal and IVAP six Actions from the following Domains Domain 1 – Fostering institutional engagement and change Domain 2 – Strengthening partnerships (knowledge triangle integration) Domain 3 - Contribution to developing innovations and businesses Domain 4 – Enhancing the quality of innovation and entrepreneurial education
