Personal IDs Department of Motor Vehicles: 2439 Gillespie St., (910) 486-1353. No fee charged for a NC ID for a resident of the state who is legally blind, is at least 70 years old, is homeless or who has been issued a driver’s license which has subsequently been canceled as a result of a physical and/or mental disability or disease. Individuals experiencing homelessness must present a letter from the director of a facility that provides care or shelter verifying that the person is homeless. A Brush with Kindness helps homeowners with an exterior home preservation program that offers painting, landscaping and minor repair services to Habitat homeowners.
