active and passive grammar 1, lesson 3 **Active: When it is important to know who did the action or the verb: **passive :When the person doing the action is unknown or unimportant to know him and the important thing here is the action (the verb):
When you change the sentence from active into passive you must follow the following steps:
1.Start the passive sentence with the object of the active sentence. 2.Identify the tense of the verb in the active sentence, if it is present simple, past simple….etc. (so you must revise the tenses). 3.Put the main verb in the past participle (p.p)

6. No one responded to the call to donate blood. The call to donate the blood was not responded ( we use “was” because the verb in active sentence is past)
