Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering , SET is shaping our day to day life and they make it possible by absolute hard work, balanced intellect and a sharp yet humble mind. Engineers should be creative and innovative in their task, because being creative and innovative is as much about using our imagination as it is about challenging the ways in which things can be done in a better way. The dedication shown by the Departmental students is overwhelming. I congratulate this Department for the newsletter and wish a prosperous future for the department. Remember “If you miss an opportunity, do not cloud your eyes with tears, keep your vision clear so that you will not miss the forthcoming opportunities”. I am blissful on the successful endeavors of the faculty members and students of the Department. On this benign occasion I convey my best wishes to all the students and faculty members who have worked tirelessly as a dedicated team to take it to new horizons of success and glory. JAI JAI POORNIMA SANSTHAN!! JAI HIND. Dr. KKS Bhatia (President, PU) Dear all, Warm Welcome! ! ! The biggest challenge for today's educational institutions is to accommodate the ever changing aspirations of the younger generation and meet the ever increasing industry demand of most competent and ready to employ candidates. To meet this challenge, we are continuously putting efforts by fine tuning the academic delivery mechanism with innovative teaching - learning practices along with all-round developmental activities. Our aim is to prepare academically rich and professionally competent graduates with social sensitivity. I am happy to share that we could get good success in all our endeavors and our students are getting ample opportunities of employment and higher studies. I am looking forward for growth and satisfaction of all our stake holders. Wishing you all the best for a fruitful learning journey and for a bright future. "A desire can change nothing, a decision can change something but a determination can change everything". Dr. Manoj Gupta (Pro-President (I/C), PU) It is my pleasure that department of EE & EC is coming out with their newsletter “Electro Chronicle” and I am very happy that faculty and staff members of the department are determined for the student's growth and success. In this semester the department has done many new innovative things resulting in improvement of results, attendance and placements. Apart from the results, attendance and placement the department also conducted many co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for the students so that overall growth of the students can be witnessed. The teaching profession is not only a job but it is a service to the society and the nation and the civil engineering team is performing their responsibility with their full potential. In this semester the students and staff members performed their duties to society also by donating the cloths, stationary items and sweets to the underprivileged children. For future I wish a great success and well wishes to the Er. Ashish Raj and his dedicated team. Dr. B.K. Sharma (Dean, SET, PU) It is an occasion of great pride and satisfaction for the Department of EEE, Poornima University to bring out the Newsletter of department i.e., ELECTRO-CHRONICLE. With the evolution of government initiatives like National Solar Mission, Digital India and Skill India we are focused on imparting industry ready skills in emerging fields such as renewable energy, solar technology, communication and power system to our students. EMERGING OF JIO Reliance Jio Infocom Limited, more popular known as Reliance Jio, recently shot to news when Mukesh Ambani announced the ideas and plans of Jio which shook the industry. Share prices of Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea fell considerably when the launch of Jio was made. Though the Lyf phones and Jio sim had already started doing the rounds through preview offer, this was the first proper launch event that took the industry by storm. If market trends are anything to go by, trajectory of RJIL has been on an upswing. It is not a publicly listed company in BSE. But the impact its launch had on Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea clearly showed the trajectory it is following. With a target of covering pan-India by first quarter of 2017 and letting people into the world of data-giri, they have huge plans with all the bases covered. Jio 4G Broadband is one of the game-changers. The destructive idea that RJIL has proposed, has shook the market. With Jio 4G broadband, people may be able to access high-speed broadband for as low as Rs. 50 per GB. With 2300 Hz spectrum for 4G all over India- 22 circles, and 800Hz and 1800Hz spectrum for 4G in 10 and 6 circles respectively, Jio has it all covered. Initial testing of Jio sim has been excellent. Most of the users are reporting an unseen internet speed and consistency. However, the quality of Lyf phones isn't upto the mark, but the internet services have majorly received a thumbs up. With 4G Jio sim now being available for everyone, soon more and more users will join. Especially enticing is the offer of 90 days free unlimited data and free voice calls and sms forever, which will garner more permanent users for Jio.
