1. President: of all committees. He shall control and guide the affairs of the Branch and shall interpret the Rules and Bylaws and decide on doubtful points. He shall pass all expenditures and bills and operate the Bank Account jointly with the Hon. 4. Hon. Joint Secretary: He shall assist the Hon. Secretary in the duties allotted to him by the Hon. Secretary/Branch Executive Committee.

5. Hon. Treasurer: The treasurer shall maintain the accounts of the Branch and operate the bank account jointly with the Hon. Secretary, deposit or disburse funds as approved by the subscription. Monthly statement of accounts shall be prepared and presented at the monthly executive committee and general body meetings. Audited accounts of the year shall be submitted at the Annual General Body Meeting. 6. State Council Member: The State Council members are required to attend the Annual State Council meeting and any Special State Council meeting if convened. The member shall have full voting rights in the Council. If the member is unable to attend the State Council meeting, the Branch President can nominate another member of the branch to and has to be submitted at least 2 weeks before the Annual State Council. The addressograph contains the list of life members and there may be mistakes in the names and addresses of the members. The membership of each Branch is sent every year to the Branch Secretary for making corrections, additions and deletions. The Branch Secretaries are required . Agenda of the meeting will be decided by the CEC. Decision will be by majority in case of disputes. In case of equal opinion the Chairman will have a casting vote. CEC shall issue a notice of at least 7 days for a meeting. In case of any urgency, notice of shorter duration can be allowed as per the decision of the CEC. In the absence of any of the two members, the decision of CEC will be binding for routine meetings. All facilities and expenses of the Election Commission should be provided by during the tenure.

CHARTER OF PROGRAMMES 1. Membership Development All our efforts should be made to achieve 100% membership. 2. CME Programmes Monthly branch meetings should be aimed at providing latest medical knowledge to the members. Continuing Medical Education is one of the primary activities of IMA. Forums like IMA CGP and IMA AMS should be fully utilized. CME programmes should be reported to the academic bodies. 3. Organizational Activities Adequate time should be set apart for discussions on organizational matters in the monthly may be arranged. State level organizational activities like protest day etc. should be fully complied with. 4. Social Service Activities may be given for health education and blood donation. First aid classes and immunization programmes may be undertaken. AIDS, diabetes and heart disease awareness and detection programmes should be conducted. Medical camps and surgeries at concessional rates should be given importance. Data of these camps should be sent to the State Secretary. 5. Open Forum Discussion Discussion involving opinion from all strata of the society on topics like doctor-patient relationship, frivolous litigations etc. may be conducted in an open forum. 6. Media and Public Relations Press releases on the activities and programmes of the branch should be given by the local branches. All other media related issues will be handled by the State President/Secretary. 7. Observance of Important Days Public meetings and rallies may be arranged. 8. Blood Donors’ Directory conducted. Group wise directory should be prepared at branch level and should be kept with Branch Secretary which should be readily accessible to the public when need for Blood arises.

IMA COLLEGE OF GENERAL PRACTITIONERS Formed in the year 1963, IMA CGP is the oldest academic wing of IMA. Its basic aim is to update the medical knowledge of General Practitioners who form the backbone of the health care delivery system in the country.

Admission fees or renewal amounts paid by the member is not refundable if the member discontinue the scheme membership by him/herself or if his/her IMA life membership is cancelled due to any causes. 7. If a member wish to discontinue his / her scheme membership; the member is liable to pay all the dues or arrears in the scheme till then. Otherwise he / she will not be able to rejoin in this scheme as a new member in future. If a member discontinued or deleted from the scheme; that membership is not able to revive in future even if he/she paid the dues or arrears till then. (This will come in force from 01.01.2019) 8. maximum Rs.10 lakhs for a single case and up to a maximum amount of Rs.20 lakhs in more than one case by way of damages in a year on behalf of a member to any other person affected by the medical treatment given by any NPP Scheme member during the course of medical treatment. Apart from dealing with the problem of lady doctors and women in general, IMA Women wing is entrusted with the social service activities of IMA KSB. There are 62 numbers of IMA Women

Objectives a. To bring together the women member in the Medical Profession under the banner of the IMA and to foster friendship and unity among them. b. To work for the welfare of women doctors and to deal with problems they face in connection with their work. c. To co-operate with similar bodies and work for the upliftment of the community as a social commitment, giving emphasis on women and children’s health issues. d. To involve women doctors in all multifaceted activities of IMA. e. To promote and encourage social and cultural activities of IMA. f.

191 FINANCE COMMITTEE The Finance Committee presents the budget and preparing and monitoring the accounts of IMA KSB and the various schemes and projects.

ETHICS COMMITTEE Ethics Committee will be in charge of constituting and maintaining Ethics Committees at the State and District level. Grievance Redressal Forum will also be constituted at the state, district and branch level. The state committee will issue guidelines to ethics committee and grievance Redressal forum and ensure proper functioning of the project.

ANTI QUACKERY COMMITTEE Will monitor and take effective measures to prevent quackery to protect the health of the citizens.

MEDICAL STUDENTS NETWORK MSN establishes Students wing in all the medical colleges and co- ordinates state level activities.

DISTRICT COMMITTEE Each District will have a District Committee with a Chairman and District Co-ordinator nominated by the State President.
