SPIRAL WRAP INTRODUCTION

MINIMISE DOWNTIME & PRODUCTION LOSSES Distag QCS offers a range of high-quality protective wrapping for hydraulic hoses, cables and welding leads etc. Our Spiral Wrap is a quick and easy to fit, cost-effective product that will minimise downtime and production losses for any industry relying on hydraulic machinery. This product is available in a number of sizes, and FRAS, and can be used for individual protection of hoses or for bunching together a number of hoses or cables. Once fitted, a hydraulic hose will be surrounded in protective wrapping made from high-density polyethene. This will protect from damage resulting from poor maintenance, harsh environments, misuse and general wear and tear.

Once fitted, a hydraulic hose will be surrounded in a protective sleeve made from a compact woven fibres. This will protect from damage resulting from abrasion, or oil spray due to malfunction of flexible hose. _________________________________________________________________ H OS E BUR S T PR OT E CT I ON NYLON SLEEVE FLEXEQUIP nylon sleeve is braided by the high tenacity multi-filament nylon yarn which has excellent abrasion resistance, UV resistance, chemical resistance, and dustproof. It is an economical yet durable solution to protect hoses for longer life, particularly under severe abrasion and degradation conditions and offers limited burst and containment protection to your employees and asset at the same time. This smooth nylon sleeve can be easily installed over hoses, chains or cables, and then secured with nylon cable ties or band-clamps. It’d be better to heat the cut edges of the sleeve. FIRE SLEEVE & FIRE TAPE INTRODUCTION FIRE RESISTANT FIBREGLASS INSULATION SLEEVES Distag QCS offers a range of high-quality Fire & heat resistant protective wrapping for hydraulic hoses, cables and welding leads. Our Industrial grade Firesleeve withstands repeated exposures to molten steel, molten aluminium and molten glass up to 1650°C. The heavy coating of the iron oxide red silicone rubber compound sheds molten metal splash immediately, so very little heat transfer occurs. A cost-effective product that will minimise downtime and production losses for any industry relying on hydraulic machinery. Our Industrial grade Firesleeve will withstand continuous exposure to 260°C; up to 1090°C for 15-20 minutes; up to 1650°C for 15-30 seconds. Our Firesleeve is constructed from high bulk glass fibre knitted sleeve. Excellent modulus of elasticity makes it an excellent choice for bundling hoses, tubes and cables in a variety of hostile environments. Firesleeve insulation properties provide personnel with effective protection against burns from hot hoses and flexible streamlines while reducing heat energy losses. Resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels, FLEXEQUIP Firesleeve insulates against energy loss in piping and hosing, protects employees from burns and allows “bundling” of wires, hoses, and cables. The thick formulation of silicone rubber sheds molten splash, slag, welding splatter, electrical or grinding sparks and contamination. It also provides protection from ozone, UV and abrasion. There is no need to disassemble the hoses or cables when installing them. Manufactured with high-grade E-glass fibre, silicone rubber coating and velcro closure, it is a good choice to protect hoses, pipes, wires and cables from hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, fuels, etc., protecting employees from burns and allows “bundling” of wires, hoses, and cables, such as EAF cable cover. FIRE TAPE

SILICONE RUBBER / COATED

_________________________________________________________________ S I LI CON E R UBBE R S E LF- FU S I N G T A PE – FLEXEQUIP Silicone Rubber Self-fusing Tape is a non-adhesive yet selfbonding to itself and other silicone rubber sleeve and tape. It withstands high temperature, occasional flame and molten splashes, and exhibits stable chemical properties with a resistance to fuel, oil, water, acids, and many other solvents. It’s typically used as an end wrap tape for fire sleeve, preventing hydraulic oils and contaminants leaking into the inside with better thermal insulation. When wrapped in a ring or spiral pattern under tension (stretched by app.250%), the tape can fuse to itself over time, no need to use heat or chemical sprays to set it. It’s easy to remove and leaves no sticky residue behind.

SPECIFICATION Silicone FireTape is a non-adhesive, iron oxide red silicone rubber tape, designed to withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 260°C. Silicone FireTape is also ideal for use as an end sealant in conjunction with Firesleeve to prevent hydraulic oils and contaminants leaking into the inner braid.

_________________________________________________________________ S I LI CON E COA T E D FI BR E G LA S S T A PE – FLEXEQUIP Silicone Coated Fiberglass Tape, made of bulk fibreglass tape with silicone rubber coating, can protect hoses, wires and cables from the hazards of high temperature and occasional flame. When exposed to flame, the silicone rubber coating transforms to a crust, creating a protective SiO2 refractory layer. The tape is usually used to wrap complex shapes or varied dimension tapered pipes. Typically, the tape is overlapped by 50% when winding. Also, it can be installed in situations where tubular fire sleeve cannot be used, and when hoses, wires and cables cannot be disconnected for sleeving.

SPECIFICATION FireTape has an excellent modulus of elasticity and can wrap any diameter hose or cable typically in a spiral wrap with a 50% overlap. Can be installed without disconnecting hoses or cables.

FIBREGLASS SLEEVE INTRODUCTION THERMAL PROTECTION & INSULATION SOLUTION FOR LESS DEMANDING SITUATIONS FLEXEQUIP Fiberglass Braided Sleeve is an economic thermal protection and insulation solution for less demanding situations. Made of texturized E-glass fibre yarns, the sleeve is lightweight, flexible and durable, exhibiting excellent dielectric strength and low thermal conductivity. It is a completely asbestos-free, non-hazardous insulation sleeve. E-glass fibre sleeve will not burn and resists most acids, alkalis, bleaches and solvents in a wide range of applications including protecting industrial hoses, pipes, and cables. The expandable braided construction allows the sleeve to fit the irregular hoses and fittings. Fiberglass Braided Sleeve can also be coated with binders or other coatings to minimize fray and increase abrasion resistance.
