LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY, OJO SCHOOL OF PART-TIME STUDIES (SPTS) Preamble: The Lagos State University School of Part-Time Studies was established by the Senate and the Governing Council of the University in March 2002. This was in response to the need to streamline and standardize the operations of the various part-time programmes located in various Departments in different Faculties and also in the external Campuses of the University.

VISION The vision of the School of Part-Time Studies is to provide Lagos State with the required Human capital for the sustenance of her position as the commercial and industrial hub of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the strategic transformation of the industrial capacity of the State in particular, as well as the country in general”.

MISSION “To promote qualitative education to the large populace of Lagos State by preparing them for the challenges of managing the public and private sectors of the State”. To achieve this, the School takes education nearer to the people desirous of acquiring knowledge in the State, through the Lagos State University Multi-campus system, a status provided for in the Edict establishing the institution

OBJECTIVES: i.

To meet the needs of the populace of the State craving for higher education.

ii.

To solve the problem of manpower requirements of the State and the country at large.

iii

To take education nearer to the people of Lagos State through its Multi-Campus status.
